Revival Tents and Asbury and Beyond

In this divine dream God showed me His mind toward ministers who raise up revival tents in an effort to build upon their own broken history, spiritual culture of rebellion, and religious tradition that has kept the church in bondage.

This dream was set in modern times – today – I saw Abraham enter into a revival tent. He was dressed in the clothes of his time and in my dream the Lord showed me that this was indeed the Abraham that we read about in the book of Genesis. The steward that God called His friend; the father of faith (Jam. 2:23; Romans. 4:11).

A man sat at a desk in the tent and Abraham approached him. On the man’s desk were a variety of cups, all different colors, shapes, and sizes, which represent the idols of their own traditional covenants that they want to make with God.

The man did not get up from his desk to greet Abraham, but offered him a drink. The man motioned proudly with his hand sweeping over the line of cups and said, “You can pick the cup you want. Choose whatever cup pleases you. There’s definitely something here for you.” The man was hoping that Abraham would be pleased that he was offered such a wide diversity of cups and was sure that there was something that would appeal to him.

Instead of accepting what the man offered, Abraham abruptly swept his arm across the desk and sent all the cups flying, just as Jesus cleansed the temple with whips with disdain and anger at the blasphemy of religious leaders who polluted His house. With one sweep of his arm, Abraham showed the displeasure of the Lord.

Abraham broke down the tent wall and walked outside. And with his gaze upward, he lifted his hands toward heaven. [end dream]

If we think for a minute about what Jesus did when He cleansed the temple.

Matthew 21:12-13
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves.

13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Biblical history is repeating itself today as God is cleansing and sweeping His church. Spiritual leaders today are as those that Jesus dealt with who set themselves up in leadership positions, trusting in their history and claiming to be the children of Abraham and disciples of Moses and Jesus said they were wrong on both counts (Jn. 8:39; Jn. 9:28; Jn. 5:46).

Whenever Jesus encountered the religious leaders they would clash against Him, claiming the history, culture, and tradition they wanted to preserve. Jesus was not sent to preserve that history, but to fulfill God’s promise and become the new tradition and new doctrine – the doctrine of His house and covenant which they rejected because it threatened their place and assumed authority.

God is Breaking Down the Walls of Resistance

There is a similar clash today as God is breaking down the walls of resistance against change. For the last 50 years religious leaders have said that they want change and when God restores His covenant for their deliverance, they say they want things to remain as they are.

Going back to my dream for a minute, there is rich symbolism as we examine the man behind the desk. The desk represents the false authority of ministers who have assumed leadership in the church.

They were careful to preserve their history and their place in religious society by writing numerous books. They wrote their own books to authorize their position and doctrine, which is called the tradition of men. All the church libraries of the world carry these blasphemous roots.

Abraham wiped the table clean because there was nothing of value to God on the table, nothing of faith that reflected Abraham’s faith.

They are doing the same thing today as the religious leaders of Jesus’ time. While God is moving through denominations to call out a people for Himself to bring them into covenant with Him, they merchandise their doctrines to perpetuate the culture they created from the Jesus Movement.

King David said, “I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.” (Psalm 144:9)

The new song identifies a new time of harmony and transition for the church, but religious leaders continue to say that the old wine (old revivalist theories, the presumed spiritual giants who paved the way for false doctrine to become normalized in the church) is better.

Diversity of Cups

While claiming to possess the true heritage of God’s kingdom and to preach the true gospel, let’s examine the cup, or cups ministers have been drinking from and in turn offer to the church.

Diversity of cups represents diversity of doctrine, which thing Jesus said He hated. The seductive offer from these ministers is the same today as it was 100 years ago, 50 years ago, and 10 years ago: “You can pick the cup you want. Choose whatever cup pleases you. There’s definitely something here for you.”

In other words, if speaking in tongues does not appeal to you, then we have a variety of worship styles, and if those do not appeal to you then we have many different relationship models for you to pick from, and if you need change we have deliverance ministers. The line up of false doctrine and teaching is endless.

Every false doctrine is born out of a heart of rebellion against Jesus’ covenant. One of the most profound places where this is seen to produce the most harm is in the area of deliverance. We’ll look at that now.

Shawn Bolz Prophecy Reveals the Heart of Rebellion Against God

Because believers are not walking in covenant with God they are missing out on the normal function of spiritual growth and don’t experience the healing that normally takes place in their daily growth cycles. Most often when people cry out for deliverance and healing it is because they have been robbed of the true essence of the Christian life that God placed in apostolic stewardship and new covenant priesthood.

Let me explain by sharing a recent prophecy from Shawn Bolz:

“I am releasing a wave of healing and deliverance to My people, that they may be set free from every wound and every trauma of the past. They will no longer be held captive by the pain of their past, but they will be able to walk in the fullness of My joy and peace.”

Let me just say that healing from past wounds and every trauma of the soul takes place daily when you are walking with God according to the terms of contact He placed in Jesus for your experience with Him. God calls this inner work “regeneration”. As He creates in you the divine likeness of Christ, He is also healing your soul of Satan’s graffiti that he etched upon the walls of the chambers of your heart. These are scars that Satan inflicted before covenant, which God daily targets for healing. You will never need a “deliverance minister” or “deliverance meeting” or anything other than the normal power of God that He placed in Jesus’ tools for your sanctified contact with Him.

To say that the church has been without this experience is to say that the church has been without the power of God that normally functions is the Christian life from day to day. This is not a history God wants you to repeat.

Many ministers, like Bolz are sharing their prophetic dreams and prophecy. As their prophecy is, so also are their dreams. While promising people liberty, they keep them in bondage in the false religious system.

Bolz is prophesying to a dead church and that’s why the Lord is calling and His call is being heard: “COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE.”

Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

I want to include another statement from Bolz so that you can see that the new covenant of Jesus Christ is being sidestepped and put aside. He says, “As Christians, we believe that God’s deliverance is available to us through faith in Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has defeated sin, death and the powers of darkness. He has made a way for us to be free from the bondage of sin and to walk in the newness of life.”

In all the things Bolz says he believes, he didn’t say anything about believing in Jesus’ new covenant Jesus died to give us, nor the terms for contact that God placed in Jesus. So, you can talk about God’s will for you to be free from sin and to walk in newness of life, but it has not happened and it will not happen unless there is an agreement to walk according to Christ… that is to accept the stewardship and covenant knowledge that God placed as a foundation for our faith to function with Him.

God is Sweeping Away the Dross

Apostle Eric vonAnderseck shared a prophecy: “God says, I will stretch over you the line as a man wipes a dish turning it upside down and I will turn my hand upon you to purely purge away thy dross. So cast away from you all your sins and even take away from me the noise of thy songs.” (Amos 5:23)

2 Kings 21:13
And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.

Isaiah 1:25
And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:

Ezekiel 18:31
Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

1 Peter 4:17
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Did you know: Revival is not the doctrine of Christ. We don’t drink from the cup of revival. We drink from the one cup of Jesus’ covenant.

The Hour of Temptation Upon the Church

In the dream the Lord gave me, Abraham represents the true stewardship of the church that God has restored. The man behind the desk, not rising to greet Abraham shows the mindset of ministers against God’s restored government. Because the anointing is strange to them, they’re not offering the true communion or fellowship of the covenant.

This is the hour of temptation upon the church.

Revelation.3:10
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

The church is being cleansed and chastised of the Lord first and then His wrath will judge the world. The culture of diversity of doctrine is not the culture of God’s spiritual kingdom.
