God is working to dismantle the framework Satan’s ministers built for the church. The one that disfigures the divine purpose of our creation and reduces it to meaningless phrases that have become part of the Charismatic language pool.
I want to look at the phrase that says that God will use you where He “plants” you. Of course, when you hear this said, the teaching does not center on God planting you in His covenant house where He fulfills His divine purpose in each of us through Christ.
- Instead, the “planting” has to do with the portion God placed in our signature. And by that I mean your signature strengths: your skills, talents, and career choices.
God is pulling back the curtain of deception.
When Christian leaders say, “I believed early on that God had something special for my life”, what is he talking about? Everyone knows they were created for something greater than themselves. It’s written in the conscience. But the “something special” this minister is talking about is himself (his signature gifts)—not Jesus.
Some signatures thrive in the business world, some in the world of medicine, some thrive in the arts, and some in the world of mechanics. Some are home builders, some are homemakers. Everyone has a signature gift from God, and that means you, too.
God imprinted your soul with your unique signature before you were born.
That’s the natural man. It’s not the mind of Christ. It’s not the spiritual man in Christ. It’s not “special”, it’s what Jesus called “what was in man”. Jesus said that He didn’t commit Himself to man because He knew what was IN man and what drives him to follow his own natural design and call it Spirit-led. (Jn. 2:24-25)
- The Apostle Paul called the inner man that which is “common to man”—not special. (1 Cor. 10:13)
It’s what God placed in Jesus that is special. Never forget that. And God placing you in His covenant house—that’s special. Never forget that. The fruit God creates in you when you remain in His covenant environment is glorious beyond anything we could imagine for ourselves. That’s where God wants to focus your attention.
You were created by God for God, and the covenant knowledge He placed in Christ is the gospel of this divine transformation within. God calls that divine change by His divine power glorious. In fact, He calls it the “praise of His glory”.
Ephesians 1:12
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Get into the habit of separating your signature gifts (natural) from God’s gifts and purpose in Christ (spiritual). God created us with His glory in mind. In this verse the Apostle Paul says that of all that God created: from the vastness of the universe, to the mysteries of the deep, to the beauty and diversity of every living thing—mankind alone is His jewel.
We are the jewel of God’s creation.
That’s us in Christ, within the environment of His covenant—not without Christ—not the glories of our signature gifts.
God connects “trusted in Christ” to “the praise of His glory”. Praise has to do with the highest valued of all things. Glory has to do with substance that progresses beyond its present form, which the record of man cannot do. The signature of any creature cannot go beyond what it is because of death.
Every creature possesses a power that is unique to itself. The woman bears the power of her beauty and the man his strength. The bird bears the power of song, the tree the power of fruit, and the whale the power of enormity that testifies of its abilities.
All creation bears a letter of God’s name and displays the glory of God in its signature from its enormity to its minuteness, to its singular power. Solomon brings this out. But only Jesus Christ contains His fulness which He inscribes in us.
God takes the seed of His glory in Christ to make it greater than all trees. He takes the covenant things of Christ from one form (truth joined to His grace) to another form (fruit joined to the charity of our priesthood) by the anointing.
God’s virtue is perfect in form (Christ) and increases in power in us through contact. We who trust in Jesus remain in the environment of His covenant. We agree 100% with God that His purpose for us is to partake of Him and return to Him the fruit of His likeness, which He calls righteousness and true holiness. (Eph. 4:24)
This is why the apostles said, “For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost.” (1 Thes. 1:5)
God returns the church to His true glory and divine scale that existed from the very beginning and will exist throughout eternity.
God First Creates The Environment
God created the environment of the covenant first through Jesus’ death on the cross and empowered it through His resurrection and called it into being through His apostles to whom He entrusted His knowledge and spiritual tools, and new priesthood to equip His saints.
God placed apostles first in the church to establish His divine order for covenant teaching to take place. Satan reversed God’s order, saying that anyone can teach themselves from the scriptures as he placed pastors first to lead the church.
1 Corinthians 12:28
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
The false church body is void of the teaching of the dynamics of Jesus’ covenant because Satan substituted pastors for God’s real apostles. In truth, apostles are “first” because they teach the environment of Jesus’ covenant and place you there.
- Apostles are mentioned 80 times in the New Testament and pastors are mentioned only one time.
God sent His apostles to lead His people into His covenant house to set you in that environment so that you, partaking of Christ, would use His tools to co-labor with Him as He creates in you His likeness. God’s plan for you is that you would reflect the praise of His glory in this process of regeneration as you build with Him.
Satan Sabotaged the Gospel
Satan sabotaged the gospel to tell your story—your signature—your struggles—your purpose in your own eyes. Yes, your signature gifts are unique, but that’s not where God planted you. Your signature is not what God empowers for fruit bearing, which is what truly glorifies Him.
There’s no question about it: the endless possibilities of your signature delight your heart, and each promise is like a bite into a delicious apple. We’ve all experienced the taste of a fresh apple, how it bursts with flavor. Each bite promises to be as good as the last.
But when the apple is gone, so is the taste. The power of the apple is not in the taste, but in its seed. Plant the seed and you will have an orchard of trees, each tree producing bushels of apples.
God gave me this parable to teach His people the difference between the taste of their signature (common to man) which explodes with flavor, but expires at death, and the power of the seed of Christ which when planted in the heart is capable of multiplication. His virtues multiply in the heart and are returned to God in their increase—perpetually.
We can see why God calls us the praise of His glory when we are planted in His covenant. The seed of Christ contains the dynamics of covenant contact with Him that the Holy Spirit confirms in us.
The question is: do you want the taste of the apple or the power of the seed?
Get it out of your head that when God says you are special, He’s talking about the imprinted signature He placed in your soul to function in this world. He’s not talking about natural things. He’s talking about Christ being planted in you and you being planted in Him.
As God shifts the church back to His covenant in Jesus, He brings distinction between the portion He designed for you to function in this world and the fulness He designed in Christ that allows you to function in His kingdom. (1 Cor. 2:14-16)
Christ’s fulness is the dynamics of His kingdom. As His saints get reacquainted with the environment of Jesus’ covenant they are again exercising their senses with grace and truth, and the spiritual tools God uses to create in us His glorious nature.
Satan’s Earth-bound Gospel
Satan is the one who blurred the lines and developed an earth-bound gospel based on your signature gifts. The devil strategically replaced the record of Christ with the signature record of man and that changed your faith forever, making it earth-bound.
Why would ministers commission your signature gifts as God’s pattern?
They put themselves in an awkward position. Satan’s earth-bound gospel removed all the dynamics of Christ and that means the people are robbed of their God-given priesthood. They’re given the expectation of growth and contribution but none of the tools God uses for that process to begin.
That leaves you with the question: “How will God use me?”
The false teaching that has been handed down to churches formed in the wake of the Jesus Movement likens God planting Adam and Eve in the garden to God planting His signature gifts in you. As we often bring out, Satan works through similarities.
In truth: God created us for Himself and His plan was to create us in His own image and likeness and that’s the first thing He said about Adam.
Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
Adam’s fall corrupted the image of God. When Adam accepted Satan’s counsel he also accepted his stewardship. When Jesus came to redeem us, God fulfilled His promise to Adam that He would come in the form of the flesh to suffer for our benefit. He would provide a covenant for us that would equip us with new knowledge, new gifts, and a new priesthood in Jesus. As we serve God with the things of Christ, we also serve one another through that same anointing.
The Fulness of the Stature of Christ
So, even though we all have been given unique signature gifts from God to function in this world, the choice of faith is: “Will you accept my covenant and allow me to bring you into my kingdom where you will partake of my power?” Our entrance into God’s new covenant in Christ opens the door for us to steward His grace to each other rather than steward our signature gifts.
Romans 16:25
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
The mystery of the revelation of Jesus Christ is given first to the stewardship of His house, which is the apostolic character just as the food of the field is first given to the chef to serve upon the table.
1 John 1:3-4
3 That which we [apostles] have seen and heard declare we unto you [brethren], that ye also may have fellowship with us [the tether of life begins here]: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ [the witness is sealed in this pattern for your faith].
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. [for by this unity the whole church grows in the full stature of Christ]
Pastoral Ministries Act Independently
The pastoral ministries, acting independently of this tether, opened the door for Satan to rob the church of Jesus’ fullness. The printed material promoted in the false church body testifies of this mindset. Because of this believers are confused. Which gospel bears the true light? Their discernment has been based on decades of pastoral failures.
1 John 1:5
This then is the message which we [apostles] have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
When the tether of your faith is in error so your communication will reflect the world’s issues and personal problems with holiness. Believers look for resolve to be placed into repeated acts of repentance and they yoke themselves to more baptisms, more communions, and seek understanding through history, Bible commentaries, semantics, ancient laws to follow the philosophy of this world, which is Satan’s culture.
These are the dregs in the cup of the Mother of Harlots.
Psalm 75:8
For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
Revelation 17:4
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: [fruitless contact outside of the house of God]
Believers that drink from the wrong cup will also deny apostolic church government under the true tether of Jesus Christ. They claim they love God but walk contrary to His commandments that define His kingdom.
Their illumination of grace is turned into darkness again as they feast at the table of the uncircumcised. Their charity is condemnation and not fruit unto life.
Turning faith inward is the greatest deception. Satan’s ministers try to fit the spiritual into the carnal. The false stewardship under Satan’s influence supplied believers with a steady stream of inborn inspiration, while at the same time robbing your faith of all the living tokens God placed in Jesus to begin to create anew in you.
The operation of God reaches beyond the veil of the wisdom of man sealing righteousness in the hearts of those of faith.
Romans 11:33
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
