In this new apostolic era and season of transition, God has again raised up true apostles to whom He has given the record of Christ, which we now speak as servants of His grace. God is restoring sight to the church to discern the clean from the unclean, and the holy from the profane.

I want to explain to you the huge shift away from the old and familiar “NAME IT – CLAIM IT” doctrine in this season of change, and why some are resisting this time of cleansing for the church and want to go right on pushing that selfish agenda forward.

What is the “NAME IT – CLAIM IT” doctrine? In a nut shell, a believer is shown a scripture in the Bible that is thought to cover a specific need in his or her life. Think about different areas of your life where you feel the most vulnerable, where you might experience lack: maybe there’s a need for finances, or harmony in the home, or protection, or direction when you’re standing at a fork in the road and wondering which way God wants you to go.

These are everyday common things that are common to man. If you’re feeling vulnerable in these areas, your thought patterns are geared to take up these causes, and your emotions are responsive. So we’re also talking about being vulnerable to fear, dread, frustration, and doubt.

The nature of man is to create his own covenant with God whereas God is thought to address his state of mind, his agitation, his grief of mind; he’s looking for peace of mind to know that God’s got his back and that he can trust that God will do good things for him; that God can turn around hopeless situations.

So far, I think you’re with me. These are the needs that the devil knows press upon the mind so earthly spirits testify to this need. The mind of the natural man comes from this place of lacking, wanting, fearing, and doubting; he’s on the hunt; he’s looking for scriptures that he can declare so that it looks like he is declaring the mind of God that covers that particular set of circumstances so that he can then claim the remedy.

Do you see that faith is being made to serve the condition of man and to provide resolve to the circumstances of life? The needs of the flesh predicate faith, and that’s the problem I want to talk to you about. Our needs are not the record; our abilities or non-abilities are not the record; our wanting to be strong in the face of adversity is not the record. Jesus Christ is the record. That is the most sublime transitional point, and once you get it, your faith will never be the same.

If you are stating, affirming, or asserting a scripture to say something about your life, you’ve made your life the record and made scripture to argue for you on your behalf. And that’s a problem because God made Jesus Christ the record, and prophecy is to testify of Him to return faith to God in the power of the anointing of truth. If you missed it, that’s another very important transitional point.

We’ve been talking about two very different and distinct records from which we can draw: the record of man or the record of Jesus Christ. Obviously we want to draw from the record of Jesus Christ, and God is teaching the church how to do just that in this new apostolic era.

The problem is two-fold: First, the natural man has an innate response to his own record, so the natural impulse is to put that out there first. In short, wanting to learn about God from his own record, which of course fuels his desire. He’s thinking about all the possibilities of his experience to make his own record (his life) complete, but he’s not living the life of Christ.

The second problem for the natural man is that he can’t be empowered to make the choice to reverence the record of Christ above his own until the foundation of truth is set in his heart to be able to compare and contrast the natural man to the spiritual man in Christ.

True apostles are now equipping believers with the record of Jesus Christ in the knowledge and tools of His covenant. Believers are now equipped to define their life by His record, and for the first time they are able to reason faith in a whole new way, and are thus empowered to compare and contrast by way of a new set of experiences, and are thus armed with discernment.

God’s holy angels traverse this path of the new covenant. This is something God had revealed to me for the transition. He said that He was restoring to the church the true ministry of angels and how they attend upon His children when they follow the record of Christ.

As I have been teaching, there is a profound connection between the tools of the covenant and your experience of grace and priesthood prophecy. Angels are commissioned by God to bring His grace to you; they are grace carriers. God set up a direct pipeline from His throne to your heart. As believers transitioned back to the covenant they began to experience the ministry of angels in a whole new and living way.

Independent ministers lead faith into a process of self-discovery. Absent of regeneration, they replace regeneration with scriptures and issues. They lead believers to test and prove their own record against the scriptures and teach them how to lend their voice to scripture, to speak aloud what they feel God had decreed about that given circumstance to cover that need, or to remove that barrier against their perceived comfort zones.

They carry that a bit further to say that holy angels are then commissioned by God to carry out these orders to make it so on earth. But it is an earthly spirit that breathes life into the record of man, not holy angels. You can hear the earthly spirit speaking when they say, “Are you ready to change your life by your decrees and what you prophesy over your life daily?”

Look at the record that is being carried. Is it of men or is it of God? If you are talking about the issues and circumstances of life, as I’ve described, it is the record of man, and attaching scripture to it will not make it holy.

So there has to be a dissolution for renewal. God has to completely break down the false doctrine that focuses your faith on naming, claiming, declaring, and decreeing.

The record that we declare as believers is the record that is from above—the record of Jesus Christ. Jesus is now the Word made flesh, and it is His body of knowledge that we have come into agreement with.

God “hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son” (Hebrews 1:2)

So there was a transition of covenants from the old to the new, and there is also a transition from the record of man to the record of Jesus Christ. These are the terms of the covenant: If you use My spiritual tools and use My knowledge, I will be seen in your faith and angels will ascend and descend upon you; they will attend upon your faith, and the substance of My virtue will be born in your heart.

Rather than trying to prophesy God’s will each day for our lives (record of man), God has transitioned the church to priesthood prophecy where we prophesy Jesus Christ as the will and power of God.

You might be wondering why God would allow the church to suffer under the bondage of such false knowledge as the “NAME IT- CLAIM IT” indoctrination. God is allowing these false doctrines to exist as a distraction for the curious. God will always test faith: “Do you love Me more than yourself?”

Jesus said that there will be many who will fall by the wayside. These believers see only the entrails of their own lives, but don’t see the face of Jesus Christ; they don’t see God’s purpose in Jesus Christ.

So God is removing the idle curiosity of man. It’s like peeling an orange to reveal those who will tax your time with the affairs of life, but are not interested in building God’s kingdom. Jesus called that a falling away. They have no stewardship, no priesthood, and no covenant.
