Truth Restored

If you asked the average Christian, What is truth, even those who say that the Bible is their authority, will give a variety of conflicting answers, depending on the denominational churches they have attended, the authors and ministers that touched them, and their own personal experiences.

Truth, as I’ve just described it, is subjective to each person. So of course, that is not the same as God’s truth. From God’s perspective, truth is defined as facts that are consistent with His character, purpose, and plan. He calls us to agree with His truth, not our own.

This is one of the reasons why God uses the word “doctrine” when he talks about “truth”. The doctrine of Christ is God’s blueprint of truth and consists of all the things you need to know Jesus Christ, who is the character, purpose, and plan of God.

This kind of knowledge is essential building material to ensure that faith is built in the image and likeness of Christ. Truth not only tells us what the doctrine of Christ is, but also how it is received through Jesus’ apostles.

This kind of knowledge is experiential knowledge. We’re talking about a living relationship with God that is born of the Spirit. Jesus is holy, so the knowledge is holy – it is holy knowledge. Jesus is pure, so the knowledge is pure – it is the pure knowledge of the new covenant.

Knowledge Needs Context

The simple fact is that truth needs the context of the new covenant. That’s why you will hear the restored government of God talk a lot about holy knowledge, knowledge that is pure, which is the record of Jesus, the plan and pattern of God.

These words describe truth by giving truth the context of the covenant. That will allow you to contrast the truth of Jesus Christ to the widely distributed counterfeit knowledge, so that you can tell them apart.

God sets a high premium upon knowledge (truth) that our soul needs to know Him, serve Him, and increase in His kingdom. That’s the knowledge of the new covenant.

Proverbs 19: 2,
“Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.”

It’s not good that our soul be without God’s blueprint of truth. Because Satan competed with God for Adam’s attention, he destroyed Adam and Eve by giving them false knowledge as their refuge. They put their trust in Satan’s counsel and promise. That knowledge was not good for them.

The knowledge of the new covenant has to cover the specific details (terms) of God’s plan to save us and to join us to Himself, and to create the fruit of Christ in our inner man.

We get it! Knowledge has to cover certain specific needs, and a plan has to be put into place that addresses all those needs. We do it all the time. For example, if you’re planning your daughter’s wedding, the venue for the reception is very important to get right. If your guest list is over 300, then a small banquet hall that has a maximum capacity of 100 won’t do.

How do you choose the correct venue for your needs? The first thing that’s recommended is that you take a planner with you so that you can check off your major needs. No one would even consider a wedding venue that does not offer the essentials: public restrooms, adequate space, tables and chairs, dance floor, DJ setup, etc.. You are told that selecting a venue for the wedding reception is a big decision.

This illustrates for us that God’s truth is just as detailed in planning. God offers only one venue for truth, and that is the new covenant of Jesus Christ. He planned for our soul to find rest and healing in Him through personal contact and left nothing to chance. The terms of the new covenant is God’s plan book where He covers the essentials to explain how our faith will reflect Jesus and express Him.

  • Your faith will need a priesthood to reciprocate to God.

  • Your faith will need contact to touch Jesus, so it has to include Jesus’ tools.

  • Your faith will need God’s sanctified stewards to lead, teach, and guide.

God’s Game-Changing Announcement

God’s game-changing announcement that He restored apostles to the position of authority in the church resulted in two giant shifts taking place. First, ministers could no longer operate independently in the wilderness, and just as important, believers could no longer approach scripture in the same way they had in the past.

In this Article Series by Apostle Eric vonAnderseck, the reason for this challenge is highlighted. Satan already created a counterfeit knowledge to offer false rest and a false refuge for the church, and God does not want you to be on the wrong side of this struggle. God has to blast through many pre-conceived ideas about truth.

God reveals that by changing the way truth is received, He is changing the way truth is perceived. God’s purpose to authorize and sanctify apostles is to give one truth to the church that reflects Jesus perfectly.

The unity of the faith is again anchored to the foundation of truth, which is Jesus’ record. This Article Series highlights the contradiction: Ministers famously do not use Jesus’ record as their foundation, they use the record of man as raw building material to establish their relationship with God.

This is so vital for you to understand. This is your crossroad, so we’ll take the time to explain what a foundation is from God’s perspective: A foundation is a starting point. In that ministers habitually start with a problem, then run to the Bible, the problem is their starting point— their foundation. In that ministers habitually start with sin, then run to the Bible, sin is their starting point – their foundation.

What’s your starting point? God introduces the basics of Christianity in His easy to understand blueprint. Many want to know where to start on the path to a relationship with Jesus. We start with the 12 essential, life-giving, elements of the gospel. They are God’s blueprint of truth and your beginner learning blocks.

Jesus gives the blueprint of truth to His apostles to give to the church so that each believer can follow the same plan to build faith in Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:10
“According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.”

  • Know this:Just as the Holy Spirit must be in the heart to establish the presence of God and thus sanctify your body as the temple of the Lord, so also truth must be in the heart as the foundation from which you daily build. Jesus’ knowledge must be organized in such a way that it reflects Him perfectly and not the imperfect heart of man.

Jeremiah 3:15
“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”

The unity of the faith begins with apostles who disciple the other callings. God’s prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers now walk in the same doctrine of Christ and function with the same tools at the same altar in the same priesthood. God has brought to pass this great sign and wonder to give evidence of Christ so that all the righteous can observe Him.

This new apostolic age is a time of separation and this is why God is making the contrast between the truth that He authored and the false knowledge Satan authored. God wants you to be an informed believer.

In this Article Series, you are led to examine and discern the source of knowledge offered today from those who have not taken part of God’s transition. Although many ministers can say many things that are true to the nature of man, they cannot teach those things that are true to God. One frame of knowledge for one body of Christ.
