Whether we are talking about God correcting the counterfeit prophetic or the counterfeit apostolic, correction comes through living stewards whom God has called. As ministers in the False Religious System make their last stand to defend the error they call their Jesus, the Lord is smiting them with words of reproof and warning to tell them that they cannot cleanse themselves.
A recent word received by Dawn Hill and published in Charisma Magazine reveals this continued smiting. Hill says she received the word “counterfeited counterfeit”. This word deals with the vicious cycle that Hill and other ministers in the False Religious System find themselves in: the counterfeit confirms the counterfeit and produces more counterfeits.
The solution Hill put to her readers is the same that has always been promoted and has proven not to work. She says that we should go to the Bible and quote scripture. This solution has never removed the counterfeit from faith, nor has it stopped the counterfeit cycle from repeating itself.
Eating Figs of Thistles
This is like trying to eat figs of thistles. Thistles are thorny and are symbolic of knowledge that does not produce fruit, but rather tears away at your faith. Thistles are symbolic of the those who do not produce fruit to God. If you have thistles in your backyard, you want to get rid of them, don’t you. They are good for nothing.
Well the same is true for your faith. Jesus made the distinction, “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” (Matthew 7:16)
In Matthew 7:13 Jesus again emphasizes that He is in expectation of the fruit He develops in the soul. He came to the fig tree to partake of its fruit and finding the tree barren (lifeless), He cursed it. This shows us that God’s goal for our faith is the fruit bearing season He has appointed to the soul. An empty soul does not return to the Lord. The problem with the counterfeit is that it leaves the soul empty of the virtue of Christ.
God Does NOT use Scripture as His Authority
God does not point to scripture as His authority. On the contrary, He points to His apostolic steward of grace. God points to a person and says that you must go to the steward to be purged of the counterfeit.
Many well meaning people want to blow the trumpet of warning, but they are not standing in the courts of God, but rather behind the shield of the flesh when outlining their goals. Hill says, “my goal is to share the truth of the Word of God and the heart of the Father. . .”, but she has already erred in that she is not following the true biblical pattern.
As the Lord points out, His voice of correction does not come from the pages and text of the Bible, but rather from apostolic stewardship.
1. “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.” (Revelation 1:1)
God’s correction to the seven churches of Asia came from a living steward, Apostle John. The Spirit of the Lord did not direct believers to read to know the truth that was in the Father’s heart, but directed them to a steward through whom they must hear the Word of God.
The same is true for the purity that flows from the Holy Spirit. The Bible talks about it, but does not produce it. God’s system of truth starts with a living apostle to whom He has given the blueprint of truth to give to the people.
The devil uses the Bible to shield his motives and his ministers teach believers to do the same; to use scripture to justify remaining independent of the God-head and to create authority in themselves (Matthew 4:6).
2. “The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.” (Isaiah 1:1)
God’s correction to Judah and Jerusalem came through a living steward, Isaiah. He was the mouthpiece of the Lord. The same is true for the correction that came through Jeremiah who spoke words against those who had forsaken God and “worshipped the works of their own hands” (Jeremiah 1:16).
Major prophetic ministers have been under a dark cloud of correction as God continues to address their wicked practices. We are not talking about those who use tarot cards, but those who pervert prophecy and teach believers to do the same. These ministers counterfeit the priesthood, and God is calling them to repentance. God is addressing their doctrinal crimes.
1. Psycho-phecy is a doctrinal crime against God’s holiness. It is the prophecy of the flesh introduced into the church by the antichrist spirit to replace the priesthood of the believer to keep believers chasing their tail (problems). Those who prophesy health and wealth and prophesy resolution to the problems of the world are prophesying the psychology of the flesh, not Jesus Christ.
In these last days God sent an apostle to the Body of Christ to restore the priesthood of each believer and to return true prophecy to the church. That has already happened, but the counterfeit prophetic loves the praise of men more than the praise of God and will continue to counterfeit.
Ministers are not empowered by God to search the scriptures to correct themselves as has been their habit. While they claim to use the Word of God to cleanse themselves, these are not the heavenly waters, but the muddy waters of their own soul. The counterfeit is trying to cleanse the counterfeit, and God is rebuking that ungodly effort.
The powers of this world are as river waters, which evaporate and expose its dead. So also does their prophecy expose their dead works.
The water of God’s grace comes from His throne and is therefore a pure reflection of Jesus Christ, spoken through the lips of His steward. The steward is the true gauge for the church. When we honor man (independent stewardship), we remove the crown from Jesus’ head, but when we obey God, we set the crown on His head.
2. Deliverance ministry is another doctrinal crime against God’s holiness. It teaches believers to seek deliverance rather than go through the process of regeneration with the knowledge and tools of Christ to honor Him.
3. Declarations is another doctrinal crime against God’s holiness. It teaches believers to speak according to the flesh rather than according to Christ Jesus. The gospel of man has no power to effect life, and this false knowledge leaves a breach in the soul; but the power of God brings life and salvation.
God corrects the counterfeit by restoring the church to the true function of the tools of the new covenant sanctified by the blood of Jesus. Christ issues His laws for His church to observe through His apostles, which those who are spiritual confirm by prophecy.
