You will hear ministers complain loudly saying that placing the calling before one’s name creates a “title”. But only those who are focused on titles talk about titles in an effort to make distinctions where God does not. It does not matter if you place your calling before or after your name, the apostolic authority is in the grace, which confirms Christ.
Let’s look at an example. Are we to say, the prophet Isaiah or Isaiah the prophet?
2 Kings 20:1,
“In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him. . .”
2 Kings 20:11,
“And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord. . .”
When I make known my calling (Apostle Eric vonAnderseck), I am pointing to the authority of Christ in the calling and the grace that qualifies the calling. That is how God defines the calling of apostle and how I define the apostolic calling.
When a person is spiritually minded he does not think in terms of worldly titles, nor does he feel the need to justify the logic of his principle in an effort to qualify his wisdom as godly. In this new apostolic age, God is calling ministers to put away these childish arguments.
Should Apostles Hide Their Calling?
Find out what triggers this question that troubles so many. Ministers believe that apostles should hide their calling. Is this true? Does Jesus want His apostles to hide the authority He gave them? Did Paul hide his calling?
These questions are answered in my free online lesson.
In this one of a kind, in-depth lesson God delivers answers you can trust:
The Apostolic Calling and Anointing
The Lord instructed me to write a book detailing the calling and anointing of an apostle, to set a clear path for the calling and to set it apart from the many counterfeits. The new apostolic wave is here, but only those who have prepared their hearts will enter into in to this new era of change and renewal. It’s available here.
God Debunks the Old, Misleading, and Corrupt Definition of Apostle
While counterfeit apostolic movements such as C. Peter Wagner, Joseph Mattera, Bill Hamon, and Rick Joyner claim to present the apostolic calling in a new way, they are simply using the same old, corrupt definitions that misled the church. The apostle is not a missionary-slash-church-builder. Newer versions of the old definitions under different organizational structures is not the new wave.
No matter how you reconstruct the ways of error, it is still error. A visionary leader is not an apostle. Diversity in doctrine under diverse organizational umbrellas is called feigned unity. It is a oneness that is deceitful, whereas ministers remain independent of the headship of Christ while claiming His covering.
Ministers speak about their desire for unity and then go about tasking themselves with organizational how-to’s so they can see a progression of their hope. But they talk about unity happening “someday” and talk strangely about having “more and more” unity.
There are no degrees of unity. You are either in the unity of the faith (all embracing the same doctrine of Christ, and using the same spiritual tools) or you are not.
This “someday” mantle was thrown over the church by the devil who delights in smiting believers with the stick of ignorance.
True apostles teach the one and true doctrine of Christ to remove the veil of ignorance and restore faith to the record and pattern of Jesus Christ. This will not happen someday. It has already happened as God promised.
The core of the apostolic calling and anointing is truth. The apostles are the knowledge stewards of the new covenant to restore to the church the foundation of truth, Jesus’ spiritual tools and priesthood. This has been accomplished and the restored Body of Christ has emerged.
God shut the door on independent ministry. He shut the door on feigned unity. Ministers have confessed that they heard the sound of a door shutting while gathered together. The meaning is clear, God has not called them to apostolic ministry. They are not the key to open the door of restoration in these last days.
