Apostle Eric vonAnderseck

Eric serves as a called and confirmed Chief Apostle in the restored government of God. He is the founder of s8w Ministries, and it is through his stewardship that God ushered in a new season of restoration for all believers who desire to walk in the fulness of Christ.  View my profile.

As God establishes His true apostolic authority in the Body of Christ today, He continues to unmask the counterfeit apostolic to allow you to see the spirit of deception that hides behind the mask.

Rather than define the calling by the roots of the anointing, which points to a living, functioning steward of God’s grace that is tethered to His throne, ministers define the word “apostle”, and ask what the word apostle means to the people of the first century church.

We reviewed the tragic results of that ill-conceived logic in my last article, What is a New Covenant Apostle. So, why choose word study over direct experience? The answer is simple. Ministers are faced with a dilemma: how to present yourself if you lack working experience in the field of apostolic stewardship

Choosing the Dictionary Over God’s Living Steward of Grace

Each time the dictionary is chosen over the living steward that God appointed to restore the church to Christ, we can see right through the excuses made for the lack of experience with the apostolic grace.

As ministers refuse to leave the bed of false justifications, a further word study goes afoul to entangle them further in the lie they selected to shield their nakedness before God. Seeking to define what it means to be “sent” a minister states, “Jesus is the original apostle who was sent from the Father in heaven to the ‘foreign territory’ called earth, in order to transform the earth to be like heaven.”

The first problem with this haphazard definition is that earth is not “foreign territory” to God. The earth belongs to God—Satan is the vagrant God is expelling from His territory. Satan’s presence in the atmosphere and in the souls of men has to do with a form of knowledge that he designed to counterfeit the true knowledge of God. The war is knowledge based, not soil based.

Psalm 24:1,
“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

John 1:11,
“He came unto his own, and his own received him not.”

The second problem touches on what God is transforming—the earth—or your soul? The gospel of Jesus Christ is empowered to transform your soul to be like Him. You can see it first in the knowledge and then in the fruit that is born in your soul. Your daily experience in your priesthood unfolds Christ in this way to please God.

The Ambassador of Christ Carries the Power

2 Corinthians 5:20
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

When Paul says that his calling is as a representative (ambassador) of Christ he means that he is speaking in the place of Christ, as His mouthpiece, to speak the words of the covenant that joins the soul to God for the purpose of this fruit bearing season.

The ambassador (apostle) of Christ carries the power in the calling because he carries the knowledge. This is not the outward power that the counterfeit apostolic lusts after, but the inward power of the anointing that transforms the soul. The power is for this fruit.

Jesus’ work now in your soul points to the reason why He provided a new covenant in Himself. He is the one who daily mediated this divine transformation according to the terms or grounds God set for our contact with Him.

  • Always remember: We need contact for increase in the virtue of Christ. This is why God supplies the church with the 12 foundation stones, to teach believers how to work with the Spirit to increase in the fruit of the Spirit.

2 Peter 1:3-4
3   According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Underline “knowledge of Him” and “called” in verse 3 and “divine nature” in verse 4. You are called first as a fruit bearer in God’s kingdom. That’s how you firstly advance His kingdom. God has called you to this process of regeneration and there is no side-stepping it, or getting out of it. To do so is to disqualify your faith from meeting God’s expectation.

How does the process of regeneration happen? Through the knowledge of Him –the knowledge of His covenant. God is receiving Christ back to Himself, as we saw in the resurrection of our Lord and His ascension into heaven. Faith follows that divine pattern.

God is daily placing the nature of Christ in you to receive Christ back to Himself. He sent Jesus into this world to beget sons and daughters and to provide gifts for their reciprocation. The gospel is this message, and apostles lead the church through this experience of life in Christ.

The transformation of the earth to be like heaven is a different season called the Millennial reign of Christ upon the earth, whereas Jesus sits as king upon His throne and all nations come to worship Him.

Jesus first establishes His throne upon the heart before He establishes His throne upon the earth. But Jesus cannot establish His throne in your heart unless you come under the shadow of His apostolic stewardship, accept His terms of contact that will allow Him to transform your soul into His likeness. Your consent is necessary, as God will not violate your will.

The Problem With Unscripted Definitions of the Apostolic Calling

Claiming that there are many spiritual principles embodied in the apostolic anointing, ministers neglect to zero in on the core function of an apostle, which is to teach and instruct the world-wide Body of Christ in the knowledge of the new covenant.

Remember we said earlier that the war for your soul is knowledge based, not soil based. Faith that is not based on the knowledge of the new covenant is not empowered by the Spirit and the soul is not transformed, and therefore not received by God.

The knowledge of the new covenant had been lost to the church, but now has been restored through apostolic stewardship, whereas God has again equipped believers with the foundation building blocks, so that faith would be empowered to reflect Christ’s likeness.

To ministers who have taken the wrong turn at the cross road, the calling of an apostle remains an unscripted idea. That’s a profound word that sheds light on the counterfeit apostolic, so let’s take a good look at it.

Unscripted meaning: “Not written or planned at an earlier time; an unscripted talk or speech is made without detailed preparation; not adhering to or in accordance with a script written beforehand.

While God already furnished His own definition and design for apostles to function in the church, ministers are following a hit-and-miss, best-guess, improv strategy that is not coming from the anointing. It’s like pointing in the general direction and taking a shot, hoping to hit something that will resonate with believers.

God already outlined the duties of the apostles: to teach and instruct the church, to thus supply believers with God’s foundation building blocks, and to thus mobilize their faith with the anointing, leading them into the fulness of Christ.

The unscripted definition of an apostle does not adhere to, or stay within the boundaries, or operation in accordance to the pre-ordained design of God’s grace and truth. Ministers are playing it by ear—they have no game plan.

Playing it by ear meaning: “Playing it by ear means you have no game plan. to decide how to deal with a situation as it develops, rather than acting according to plans made earlier; to let things go as they may. -It is usually said when a person who is asked a question is not quite sure as to what to answer with.” (www.dictionary.cambridge.org; www.urbandictionary.com )

Unscripted definitions of the apostolic calling come from an empty well. Not sure how to answer God’s challenge to submit to His sanctified apostle, they’re developing their own theories based on where they want God to take the church.

These unscripted versions of the apostolic calling and anointing is much like modern reality television, whereas the only criteria is to come up with something new to shock or gross out the viewers. Likewise, there is no end to the appalling ways in which the counterfeit apostolic brings ruin to faith.

  • Always remember: If you are not prepared in knowledge you have no way to connect what you believe to what you do. And if you do not accept the knowledge of the covenant, what you believe will inevitably lead you to do the wrong thing—hence the reason for God restoring apostles to the church: to teach the forgotten knowledge of Christ.

You can’t get away from it: every road leads back to the knowledge one accepts. Listen to the counterfeit prophetic calling that capitalizes on psycho-phecy. Every prophetic utterance belongs to the same root system. The roots of the knowledge prophesied goes back to the flesh—the flesh is its source—the empty well.
