Are generational curses a real thing for Christians? No. Ministers in the false religious system engineered this teaching to fill the gap between what was promised in Jesus and the bondage a person lives under when their faith still operates outside of His covenant where His care cannot reach them. They continue to live their former lives instead of the new life of Christ, which is what it means to be born again.

It’s unthinkable that in this day and age in which God has restored His covenant and unpacked the fullness of our experience in the liberty of Christ that believers are still suffering needlessly, struggling against their nature. They are trying to force their signature to conform to the law, which they believe is Christ-centered.

I want to immediately get to the heart of the matter and take a quote from Alexander Pagani’s defense of generational curses where he said, “The Bible is very clear that Jesus broke the power of sin, not the presence of sin. Jesus broke the power of the curse, not the presence of the curse.”

God’s shift: Pagani describes his experience in the presence of sin yet God calls us to describe our experience in the presence of Jesus. That’s God’s shift right there and it’s a game changer. In Jesus we are given a new family tree, a new genealogy – the genealogy of the righteous.

This means that our tether has changed. Let’s get into that now.

Born into this world the first time, we identified with the inheritance of sin and the curse of death, which is Adam’s family tree and it was our inheritance according to the flesh, or our first history. We were tethered to the kingdom of darkness and that lifeline had to be cut.

The generation of Adam is under a great curse that has been passed on from generation to generation. This is why Jesus is called the second Adam or last Adam, or our new beginning. Jesus gives us a new family line. Jesus is the Day Star of our profession. (2 Pet. 1:19)

1 Corinthians 15:45
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

The Apostle Paul instructs the church that IN Christ we are made spiritually alive. The first Adam brought death because he accepted Satan’s counsel and consequently untethered himself from God, which is the sin we are speaking of that carries the curse of death.

IN Christ, we accept the terms of God’s new covenant with us and consequently He seals our faith with a token of Himself (the Holy Spirit) and establishes a tether to us through His stewardship and new priesthood. That tether does not carry sin and death and so our experience changes.

The reason why so many well-meaning Christians still feel like they are under a curse is because they accepted Jesus as their Savior in word only. They believe and quote verses from the Bible, which are valid, but only to those who have entered into Jesus’ covenant.

Not accepting the new covenant God made with us through Jesus, either because of ignorance or unbelief, there is no mitigating power for them and the presence of sin remains. And this is why the Apostle Paul emphasizes what it means to be “in” Christ.

In Christ means in covenant. Let’s take a look at that now.

God’s Intelligent Design: God designed our faith to function in Jesus’ temple with His tools. Everything that God provided for us in Jesus is designed to create a divine, double-edged effect He calls regeneration. God both heals the soul of Satan’s scars and creates in our souls His fruit. Both take place in covenant – not outside covenant.

The priesthood identifies all the armor of God in Christ, which bears the fulness of His regeneration.

Pagani expounds upon Marilyn Hicky’s profession of generational curses. He and many other ministers describe their experiences being yet outside Jesus’ covenant where they’re trying to discern the presence of sin to fight against Satan without knowing anything about how God’s new tether in Christ changes how we view the kingdom of the flesh and how we participate with God as He works in us.

Overcoming self, Satan, and the world happens in covenant, using the tools that are present in Jesus. This shift in perspective happens once you are engrafted into the Vine of Christ, beginning with the baptism of the Holy Spirit evidenced by tongues. What follows is the altar elements that are built within the heart as God prepares you to function in the new priesthood.

In Jesus’ Priesthood we are a Living Branch of His Tree

The priesthood of Jesus Christ is the evidence of God having engrafted you into the Vine of Christ so that you become a living branch of His tree (Rev. 22:2). Without the priesthood a person goes on professing sin because they’re still engrafted in the wrong tree.

You shall know them by their fruit, and this is the fruit of regeneration Jesus was speaking about whereby you shall discern those who are engrafted in Him and those who are not. (Lk. 6:44)

There’s no curse in the light because we’re free from the law that condemns us. There’s no curse in Jesus Christ. The curse is the bitter fruit, which is the law, which bears the curse of death in it. The false religious system claims what they call generational curses because they’re still operating with a defiled conscience.

A generational curse passes through the defiled conscience. Let’s take a closer look at that now.

There are no generational curses in Christ because you’re born again and your conscience no longer labors with that which is past, but rather that which is present in Christ.

Through the stewardship of Moses, God brought His people into one house and perfected them under the priesthood of Aaron. So, we see the priesthood and the stewardship being bound together, they represented the whole house of God, and the proof of that is that the people ate of the manna of heaven and drank of the water that Moses, the steward provided for them. A seal of commitment was put within that exchange.

Like people like priest, which means that the judgment of God upon the children of Israel was through the priesthood. If the priesthood was corrupt, so were the people, and so God brought judgment upon all Israel because of the defiled priesthood. (Hos. 4:9)

Today, God is bringing the rod of His correction upon the church because they have allowed their priesthood to become defiled. Instead of living in the presence of Jesus, submitting to His stewardship, to eat at His table to serve Him with the food of His altar, they live by the precept in the presence of sin and death is upon the conscience.

The Genealogy of the Righteous

I said earlier that in Jesus, we have a new genealogy – the generation of the righteous, which is peace with God. If you are born again your genealogy changes, which is to return to God to be engrafted again in His Vine. That which was lost in transgression is now restored in the new covenant.

We cannot return to our heavenly Father in a defiled state. Therefore, your priesthood frees you from those things of sin, the kingdom of the flesh, and the curse of the law; as God breaks Satan’s illusions and the seat of his power that he once had when he ruled your soul.

Romans 16:20
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Generational Curses are the Preferred Scapegoat for Many

The church today suffers under the same yoke as Israel as God’s righteous judgments multiply against them on account of the corruption of Jesus’ priesthood. And many ministers, living under this yoke, are looking for a scapegoat for their struggles against sin, and have found the perfect scapegoat in generational curses, as if professing false knowledge will excuse them of their responsibility to God’s new covenant.

We talked about a defiled priesthood and how that is seen in the church today. Now, I want to turn our attention to the true priesthood. If the priesthood was that of true faith, then the children of Israel were blessed by God and found peace. So, there was peace in the days of Solomon; a whole generation experienced peace. For 40 years, there was peace and prosperity in Israel because the stewardship and priesthood were bound together.

This was an allegory to what Christ would do for us in joining His stewardship to His new covenant priesthood. We bond with God in a new house and He bonds with us in this new priesthood to heal our souls and create in us the fruits of His nature. This is the communion of the Holy Ghost. (2 Cor. 13:14)

When you function in your priesthood with all the tools of Christ, you receive the full benefit of God’s work in you. We experience this each day and it increases each day –that’s a miracle!

Often, what is attributed as a “generational curse” that needs to be broken, is the bondage a person experiences when he has nothing of Christ to build with.

Theological Dead Seed

That which the apostles of the first century church taught was totally complete in Christ, but that which false apostles today teach is incomplete.

Know this: Being in Christ, there is nothing genetically coming down through your natural bloodline that’s been transferred to you. That is theological dead seed, or dead knowledge that does not complete your faith because the anointing only draws from the foundation of truth to complete the nature of Christ in you.

Those who possess theological dead seed in their bags are those who fell by the wayside. They never made it to the good ground, which takes endurance of faith and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Your new life is now hidden with Christ and HE is your life, even as Apostle Paul stated.

Colossians 3:3
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Jesus teaches us about His legacy for us and how He establishes that new heritage in us through the elements of the gospel where He teaches us how He transfers His genetic makeup to our souls. We become what He is because through the elements, we see Him as face to face.

The elements are present for our restoration, they are present for our joy. Our soul feels naked when lacking this substance, and when people cried out, “Why do I feel this way”, ministers found a fall guy in generational curses.
