One of the things Transitional Knowledge Training does is to remove the ambiguity of false knowledge from your language. Once a believer receives Transitional Knowledge Training, we speak about the things of God from the same perspective – being brought into one understanding through truth. That’s why Transitional Knowledge Training is one of the first things you will learn about in our IDCCST Course.
When God calls us to endure, it’s necessary to understand what enduring means from God’s perspective so that we can apply this to our spiritual growth. Looking at the EVA Terms Glossary, the word “endure” is defined as the following:
“To persevere in the power of the Spirit by the bonds of charity. Denotes the consistency in our walk as we enter the resistance phase of our growth cycle where we suffer the death of the old man to gain the fruit of the Spirit. We are to endure with all longsuffering the process of regeneration as we trust faith to the tools of Jesus’ covenant to gain the fruits of His work in us. Satan comes to resist your faith by challenging the grace of God.” [EVA Glossary available within the IDCCST course]
The Power is in the Tools
When I talk about faith’s call to endure, I am talking about the application of faith with the tools of the covenant (the 9 spiritual tools that have been sprinkled with the blood of Jesus Christ). This is how we engage with God and draw upon His power. This is what it means to persevere in the power of the Spirit. The tools of the covenant keep us joined to God through Jesus Christ. Do you see the connection here between the tools of the covenant and the endurance of faith? We overcome by His tools.
Revelation 21:7
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
God places great value on the overcomers, because we (the faithful) labour with the knowledge and tools of His covenant to overcome self, Satan and the world. False religious system ministers teach overcoming from the perspective of the flesh, but God’s restored spiritual government teaches that overcoming is by the pattern of the Spirit which is according to God’s Intelligent Design for Christ-Centred Spiritual Transformation (IDCCST).
Choosing God above Self
The call to endure is about choosing God above self, and about mindfully labouring with the anointing to reflect the knowledge of Christ. This is how God reveals Christ to us. The focus is on God and what is born of that labour.
When I talk about “choosing God above self” I am talking about the natural inclination of man to act in his own interest to preserve the flesh. It’s natural for man to want to protect what is dear to him, but God calls us to die to these things that manifest in the principle, aspiration and imagination. Choosing God above self has to do with expressing Christ rather than the flesh, for which Jesus provided us with a spiritual priesthood within His new covenant. God bears witness to these choices and confirms Christ in our faith. Instead of expressing the flesh, we express faith through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This is the living power of God in His knowledge and tools.
Satan Misdirects Faith, but God Corrects the Error
Current Christian literature has been misdirecting the faith of believers for years under the influence of Satan’s false knowledge campaign. Eve succumbed to Satan’s counsel by believing his lie (2 Cor 11:3), suggesting that she could access divinity but apart from God (Gen 3:5). The natural man is vulnerable to believe this way of thinking (to use self as a reference point for faith), but this is not the way of God.
The connection here is how Satan’s propaganda of false knowledge misdirects faith away from God. Satan deceived Eve by misdirecting God’s instruction back to self. Can you see the misdirection of knowledge here? A misdirection of knowledge is a misdirection for faith. God’s restored spiritual government always directs faith back to the terms of Jesus’ covenant.
When the power for faith’s endurance is removed from the anointing and placed within the record of self, it is void of the witness of the Spirit (the enabling power of God that confirms Christ). We draw on the power of God and retain Him in our thoughts as we set Him before us through reflecting, rehearsing, and reciprocating His holy knowledge.
This is what Apostle Paul meant when he said that Jesus endured the cross through the joy that was set before Him.
Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jesus endured because He focused on the will and plan of God (by reflecting on what God had revealed to Him); thus engaging the anointing to be kept in its empowering. Jesus’ focus was not on the physical suffering, but on doing the will of God through obedience of faith. Jesus used the knowledge of God’s plan as the source of His strength to do the will of God. This is the pattern for reflection that we follow. Our endurance is tied to the knowledge that we embrace, and the power of the anointing that enters into that labour. When we engage God with His knowledge, within the terms and framework of His holy covenant, His Spirit is present to assist our understanding and empower faith.
