So, what is God’s standard? This question has been on the minds of people throughout the ages, but man is so self-centred that he thinks it is something he must discover, and that it is up to each individual to figure out for themselves. But that is not the pattern by which God will unfold the mystery of his plan for the purpose of redeeming the souls of man back to himself.

By following discovery as the path for faith, a person opens themselves up to all forms of false knowledge and philosophies that lead them down the rabbit hole, as in the fairy tale of Alice in Wonderland.

You see all religions of the world try to jump into the psyche of man to lay open the depths of the soul because they think this is the deeper things of God. God will not enter into any false knowledge and the Holy Spirit will not confirm anything less than Christ (who is the standard of God), who has the power to restore the soul through obedience to stewardship, by giving the substance of Christ, which is the foundation of truth, that the righteous can eat from the table of the Lord, the true bread of life.

Let’s go back to the question, so what is God’s standard? Jesus Christ is God’s standard; He is the mediator of a better covenant. No longer is man tethered to the law of Moses, but now redemption lies in Christ’s covenant knowledge.

Christ is the Bread of Life

If you think about how bread is the staff of life, you can understand that the covenant knowledge is God’s provision for all believers. We dine upon Jesus who is expressed through the 12 elements of the gospel. This is the true bread of life and the true communion which the righteous have with God daily as they bring their tithe of charity which is the spiritual sacrifices to the altar through their priesthood.

To understand how Jesus is God’s standard for faith, let’s look at the elements of the gospel (and for this teaching point more specifically, the elements of righteousness and justification) to learn from God’s perspective how to uphold the standard of Christ in our daily walk of faith.

  • In the element of righteousness, one learns how God measures our faith to Jesus Christ because God set a standard for faith to be perfect in order to meet his expectations perfectly. By faith being measured to the standard of Christ, it allows Christ to represent the covenant believer before the throne of God and for God to see the image of his Son in them; thus, the filthy rages of the flesh are put off for the garment of righteousness.
  • And looking at the element of justification, God is instructing covenant believers to walk in the freedom of Christ, because Jesus is the standard of their faith. It is by the blood of Jesus that He mediates the terms of the covenant and in faith the righteous labour in their priesthood with the sanctified tools of the covenant, as grace assists them to stand holy before God in obedience.
God has Sent Correction for the Church

God is addressing the state of the church today by bringing correction through the stewardship of Chief Apostle Eric for the transitioning of faith unto Christ. All believers who walk in covenant and labour in their priesthood uphold the standard of God through fruit bearing.

In 2 Peter 1:3-4 it says, “According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

Stewardship is the eyes of the church as God reveals the prophetic path that we may walk uprightly before him in holiness, not falling prey to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life as Satan uses the power of suggestion to deceive by inflaming the emotions to build for self.

By opening the window of the imagination people invite all kinds of dark suggestion as Satan wastes no time in filling the mind with his deception.

This is what God refers to as the cluttered conscious, which needs to be purged so that it can represent the standard of Christ.

In 2 Corinthians 10:5 Apostle Paul tells us to cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. The aspirations and principles of man are the high things that exalt themselves before God, thus making self more important.

To clear the conscious of clutter the righteous need to shut the window of the imagination by using the sanctified tools that carry the power of Christ. Through prayer and charity, we reflect on the truth and work with the Spirit to clear the conscious from the dead works of the flesh. Through our priesthood we confirm Christ to be the standard of God as we show forth our love through obedience.

God is to be Feared

Man (outside of the terms of the covenant), through disobedience and giving ear to Satan’s suggestion, has been so blinded to his errors that he is surprised to think he could be despising God’s name through false knowledge. In his arrogance such a man no longer honours God and worst of all does not fear him.

Proverbs 1:7 speaks of this: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Those that truly love God are prepared to bow the knee and die to self and follow the doctrines of the apostles as they daily grow in grace, faith and righteous, by accepting instruction to walk in holiness.

In the false religious system, they offer polluted sacrifices upon the altar, as the false ministers and prophets draw from precept and line to feed the sheep, and from the confusion of their own imaginations. Not understanding truth and neglecting the standard of Christ, false ministers feed their congregation mouldy bread.

In Malachi 1:7 the Lord talks about offering polluted bread upon the altar, and 2 Peter 2:3 the Lord speaks about false prophets, saying, “And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you…”

Jesus Christ is the bread which God wants laid upon his altar, which has the power to nourish the soul as we daily eat from the table of the Lord.

Perfect Provision

Let’s look at a few verses that speak of the goodness of the Lord to feed those that come to Him with a humble heart:

Psalm 107:5-9
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

6 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

8 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

A few days back I was awakened by the Lord with a verse in my mind. It was from the Song of Solomon 2:4 “He brought me to the banqueting house and His banner over me was love.”

On reflection, what this brings to mind is the loving heart of a God to provide for His children. God in His provision and love for us gave us Jesus for the redemption of our souls. God brings us into His house and covenant and gives us a priesthood for our refuge.

He leads us in the right way (as we see in Psalm 107:7), which is the way of covenant to lead us by the anointing.
