Our focus today will be on the importance of being educated to serve God according to the standard of Jesus Christ’s new covenant, and we’ll be looking at the role stewardship plays in bridging our understanding to see things from God’s perspective. Without the oversight of stewardship, man tends to read the Bible from the standpoint of the needs of the flesh, and so, often misinterprets what God is saying. We need instruction to uphold the standard of Christ.

For this study we will be looking at a verse in Ephesians as an example:

Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through His blood the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

It is edifying to consider the salvation Jesus purchased for us with His blood, but without the instruction of God appointed stewards, many things in the Bible can be taken in the wrong direction, and a verse like this could be interpreted in many different ways according to man’s own imagination. As a result, believers fail to connect the mention of “His blood” with Jesus’ covenant – which is the environment wherein the riches of His grace are actively present to effect His redemptive plan.

Instead, many uninformed Christians believe in “the pleading of the blood” of Jesus, as if it is something that can be used like a magic charm. Or for some, the confession of sins offers hope as it temporary lifts the weight off the defiled conscience. God does not want believers to serve Him from their imagination as He did not sanctify it for faith. What is sanctified by Jesus shedding His blood on the cross, is His new covenant, and for that to be walked in, we need His holy knowledge and His spiritual priesthood.

God Sprinkled the Blood on Jesus’ Covenant

It is part of God’s plan that covenant knowledge is revealed to and through the steward of God’s house, so that we may confess Christ as we stand in unity – serving one God. As a believer enters into covenant, they are educated in the apostles’ doctrine to understand the value of the redeeming power of the shed blood of Jesus: that through His death and resurrection a covenant was established to reconcile man back to God.

It is through the element of grace that God awakens us to seek Him in His fullness, and His grace is the power that unlocks godly wisdom, knowledge and understanding, as His truth gives direction for faith. To have faith according to the terms of the covenant of Jesus Christ, is to believe – by acknowledging His truth, molding our expectations to His holy knowledge, and submitting to His righteous judgments for the healing and increase of our soul.

By this, believers have access to the mercy of God as they follow the pattern of grace, faith, righteousness and the seal (God sealing us into covenant by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues.) Through this pattern we experience the forgiveness of sin, according to the riches of His grace as Jesus mediates the terms of the covenant.

Jesus Set the Pattern

Jesus showed the pattern of stewardship when He taught his disciples to pray (as we read in Luke 11), and revealed many mysteries to them about walking in faith and obedience. He spoke to them about His death and that He would be resurrected to establish a covenant with new and better promises. These promises are experienced in the regeneration of man’s soul which is God’s purpose to heal and restore the soul to innocence as we take on the likeness of Christ; and the renewing of our mind, for it is God’s expectation that we retain the mind of Christ through the study of the apostles’ doctrine.

Hebrews 8:6
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

We see the same pattern followed by the first apostles: in Acts 2:40-42 we read about how Apostle Peter taught and exhorted the saints. It was said that they gladly received His word, and were baptized and continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine.

Today we are blessed by God as He has in this new era of change and renewal, restored apostolic stewardship to the church to restore Jesus’ covenant knowledge, and transition the church back to Jesus’ headship so that the end time body of Christ may mirror His image and likeness.

Education Is Key to Success

In any walk of life education is necessary to be successful and achieve one’s goal. For instance, to be a motor mechanic, you’d first need to be instructed in all the ins and outs of car engines and the principles of vehicle mechanics. It is no different in the spiritual world, we also need to be educated; schooled in righteousness in order to do the will of God so that we may achieve the goal of salvation.

God’s kingdom is not the same as the world we were first born into, so to build God’s house, increase in faith and bear fruit unto Him we first need to learn of Him. God provides for this by way of His elect stewards, who instruct believers in the responsibilities of His priesthood, wherein we daily offer spiritual sacrifices of charity which is how we give back to God His Christ.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Spiritual sacrifices of charity are one of the things believers are instructed in when they convert to Jesus’ new covenant; and by it we love God and our brethren with the same substance with which God first loved us, when He gave us Jesus Christ.

Stewardship Is a Gift and Refuge to the Church

God has restored His government and has restored the knowledge of Christ by His steward, Apostle Eric vonAnderseck, who has been given the double-edged sword which has been assigned to him to break down the false knowledge that has imprisoned the minds of men, causing them to walk contrary to God’s will.

Through stewardship God has restored the foundation knowledge of the 12 element of the gospel of Jesus Christ which needs to be in place for believers’ faith to build according to His blueprint, pleasing God. The elements of the gospel are grace, faith, righteousness, justification, sanctification, holiness, peace, rest, charity, truth, regeneration and the renewing of the mind. They are the building blocks of our faith which give mobility to our priesthood that we may progress from little children to fathers in the faith.

God provided His spiritual government, truth and Holy Spirit, prayer, preaching and prophesy, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the callings and the manifold graces of God as spiritual tools to labor with in our priesthood as we serve Him daily in faith. God has restored Jesus’ spiritual priesthood to the church for the cleansing of the conscience from the false knowledge of the world that defiles the soul, and He has provided His holy knowledge by which to overcome self, Satan and the world.

As priests at the altar of Christ we draw from the anointing and build God’s house according to the blue print of the master builders (the apostles).

1 Corinthians 3:10
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

Notice how Apostle Paul puts the emphasis on “every man” must take heed how he builds. This points to the importance of the oversight of apostolic stewardship to lay that foundation for every believer – not only in the early church but also today. Once that instruction is in place, when a believer labors to build with the foundational knowledge, their eyes are opened to see and understand things from God’s perspective. They learn to die to their own aspirations, principles and imagination as this activity of faith allow us to overcome and bear fruit unto God.

Our free IDCCST Course on the s8w.org website offers transitional knowledge training, laying that sure foundation in the heart and instructing believers in God’s Intelligent Design for Christ-Centered Spiritual Transformation which prepares the soul to enter back into the Bosom of our heavenly Father.
