Many still believe that to side with God against sin is to preach the true gospel, but they are not siding with God in agreement with His new covenant in Jesus, so the gospel they preach is still false. The knowledge and virtue of Christ is being falsified, as if speaking against sin is a sign of the true virtue of Christ.

What makes the false gospel false and what makes the true gospel true?

A false gospel disciples people on the merits of sin avoidance, teaching people how to take a stance against sin, while the true gospel disciples people in making living connections to God through Jesus’ covenant where they learn how to daily walk in the power of God enabling an equal exchange to take place in a living priesthood. This allows God to daily create the likeness of Christ within them as a living testimony.

Did you know: A call to holiness will sound like the true gospel, but it is false.

What makes a call to holiness false? To tell people to stop sleeping around because they know that’s wrong is a stance against fornication. However, neglecting to first build the foundation of truth in that person’s heart to tether them to the power of God, keeps them misdirected and in bondage to sin.

All you can do is tell them about sin. A form of discipleship is taking place that weds them to the law rather than Jesus and His covenant.

Can you see why taking a stance against fornication is not a true call to holiness? You’re asking people to do something you’re not willing to empower them to do. That’s a greater offense to God.

All religious cultures preach against sin, but sin is not the gospel; redemption is the gospel and that’s why the true gospel preaches our redemption in Christ through all of God’s covenant connections. This is the gospel of regeneration – the gospel of fruit bearing in the soul.

If you rob people of these connections to God, you’re robbing God of His fruit in them.

Coming out strongly against sin is like sounding an alarm; it’s like a child on a ride along with a fireman getting a thrill from turning on the siren switch. He’s not headed to a real fire, he’s not trained or equipped to really help put out a fire, or rescue people, he just has a front row seat to what the ride feels like and ministers like the thrill of the ride – preaching a gospel against sin, sounding an alarm against sin, which does not help people because they’re not preaching Christ.

Generational Deception

What also makes the powerless call to holiness deceptively false is that the minister himself is walking in spiritual fornication, which is to sow fruitless knowledge.

Spiritual fornication, just like natural fornication and adultery has to do with pleasure without building or taking responsibility for Jesus’ covenant. The true gospel teaches how we build God’s house through the stewardship of apostles to whom God gave the blueprint of truth to increase His house with the fruit that is born in the soul of each believer by the Holy Spirit.

The Lord says the same to the church today as He said to the children of Israel, “Ephraim hath hired lovers… Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.” (Hosea 8:9-11)

And verse 13, “They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the Lord accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.”

What God was pointing out then is the same He is pointing out now. The many different approaches to the gospel are many different altars and each altar is false because it’s built upon the knowledge of the flesh in place of Jesus and His elements. The sin God is visiting is the generational practice of turning the altar of Christ into a place of bondage.

Always remember: What we preach is what we offer to God. When sin takes the place of righteousness, justification, sanctification and holiness, believers offer to God the sacrifices of their fleshly nature, and return to the bondage of the flesh (Egypt) rather than walk in the liberty of Christ.

God likens these choices to seeking after many different lovers, and Jesus made this same distinction between the gospel of the flesh and the gospel of His Spirit.

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

It is the Holy Spirit that makes faith living by the exchange of God’s gifts. The flesh cannot replace the Spirit because the Holy Spirit only uses the things of Christ’s covenant to work His life in the soul.

Every time the false gospel is preached it’s as if the minister is speed dating; interviewing possible candidates to replace Jesus as they re-envision their faith. They’re thinking:

  • If we talk about sin and smite the flesh, we can wed ourselves to this drive and our faith would produce fruit (a better version of me). But this is not the work of Christ – it is spiritual adultery.
  • If we testify to being a changed person because we met Jesus, we can wed ourselves to these testimonies and we would have a witness that our faith is alive, but this is transformation without regeneration, which is also spiritual adultery.
An Epiphany of Grace is Not Transformation

The false gospel focuses on change, while the true gospel focuses on transformation. Why do believers still confuse change with transformation? Simply because a gospel is built around the epiphany of grace – that initial impact – and they’re trying to pursue this untethered from the Godhead.

Remember, when we speak of a tether, we’re talking about those things of Christ God has purposely joined (yoked) our faith to as a lifeline to Him.

By accepting God’s new covenant commandment to remain joined to Him through the things of Christ, we walk as the new man in Christ, we walk in all His spiritual blessings, we walk in newness of life, we walk in the power of the resurrected Christ, we walk pleasing to the Father in the fellowship of His Son. First the covenant, then the tokens that join us to Him and then we partake of the promises – that’s God’s due order.

When a gospel is built around the epiphany of grace rather than Jesus’ covenant terms, ministers of unrighteousness teach believers how to use scripture to modify their perceptions and they call that change in perception the fruit of God. They throw everything at the epiphany of grace that they can muster to legitimize the fruit (artificial change/false regeneration):

– the baptism of the Holy Spirit (look at the lives that are changed)
– baptism in water (look at the lives that are changed)
– baptism in fire (look at the lives that are changed)

False regeneration is absent God’s power. Saying that you believe in the power of God to change lives does not translate into the reality of it. The altar that is being thrown together is not the altar of Christ. This fake fruit—illegitimate fruit – is the sin that Apostle Jude spoke of, “turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Jude 1:4)

These testimonies that are built on untethered grace are not true testimonies because you are building in the place of your transgression rather than your deliverance that comes through stewardship and priesthood. Without the covenant tokens of Christ, a person is goaded into testifying of his ignorance and the state of iniquity, but Christ is not found in your ignorance.

We get an idea of the picture God is painting of these spiritual lovers and why He uses that particular symbolism to warn the church of the mindset of preachers who don’t want to take responsibility for Jesus’ covenant, but choose to engage with many different philosophies about Him.

Did you know: God designed grace to continue in those who enter into covenant with Him through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We agree to accept God’s apostolic stewards and the foundation of truth they build in the heart, and we accept Jesus’ altar and obey His commandments to begin to function in our priesthood.

The stewardship, priesthood, altar and the foundation of truth are pipelines for the distribution of God’s grace. And all these pipelines are tokens of Jesus – gifts to wed us to Himself. Without these tokens of Himself, the pipelines don’t exist and the fountain of God’s grace is cut off and a new convert continues on without it and his soul remains empty.

The Empty Womb

Another allegory that God placed in scripture to the empty soul takes us back to the spirit of jealousy that comes upon a man toward his wife. When he takes her to the priest to be tested for adultery, the sign of her guilt is put within the belly that swells and the thighs that rot. (Num. 5:12-29)

Taken to the church today, the swollen belly represents a false pregnancy, being the false fruit of those who claim to be born again yet are not walking in covenant with God; for God says to them also as He did to Israel that the womb (soul) holds a dead philosophy rather than the life of God.

The rotten thighs are the foul stench that comes from those who have transgressed against Christ in seeking another in place of Him. In other words, He will not desire her – the false bride.

God Reaches out to a Bankrupt Church

The bankrupt church is in receivership. That’s an interesting word of knowledge the Lord ministered to deliver His teaching point. Receivership is defined as, “a form of bankruptcy in which a court-appointed trustee reorganizes the bankrupt entity.” (investinganswers.com)

Spiritually speaking, the church is bankrupt because the souls of believers are empty of Jesus’ true virtue and the soul being empty, cannot return to God, but is cast away as unfit. We see a testimony of this in how the gospel has turned from preaching Jesus to the preaching of sin.

God is challenging this generational deception and reaching out to a bankrupt church. Returning the church to apostolic stewardship, the church is now in the hands of the apostles and through His apostles God has restructured the church in doctrine and function.

One of the things we can see as a blessing out of this restructuring is how God is dismantling the false knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation. Jesus said that the doctrine of man should be discerned and rejected because it is not true worship (Mk. 7:7). In other words, false knowledge does not lead to the true glory of God.

Apostle Eric vonAnderseck’s Terms Glossary defines false knowledge:

The religious works that are often promoted in the name of Jesus, such as fasting, is a good example of bait on the hook of false knowledge. The promised outcome of fasting is that God will someday heal the church, heal families, and change the world. This promise is constantly woven into preaching to keep believers spell bound; and this immobilizes their faith as they are not given the knowledge of the covenant to work with God in His plan for them.

Fasting is looked upon as a formula. As a person afflicts himself by denying himself food (or other earthly pleasures), he turns up his prayers and cries out to God, but he doesn’t see that by neglecting Jesus’ covenant he is denying God.

The knowledge of this world is called false because it tethers all mankind to Satan’s lie and his perception.

False knowledge cannot produce faith no matter what you do to try to purify it – its false faith. We can look at Satan’s false knowledge as a pipeline. Satan’s factory pipes are pumping out doctrinal sewage and people are trying to find God in that mucky water. Satan’s pipeline is a polluted tether and false preachers try to sweeten the water, but you can’t do it because the bitter waters cannot be turned sweet.

False preachers try to purify a polluted tether.

Teaching a covenantless gospel, a minister will follow his own basic instincts to teach what is common to man. Thinking he is striking a hard blow against sin; he is perpetuating sin.

Backward Teaching That Destroys the Body

God gave another word of knowledge for this teaching, “troglodyte” to capture the backward and antiquated teaching that has destroyed the body of Christ. The informal meaning of the word troglodyte is, “a stupid person who has old-fashioned views or habits, or behaves in a way that is not considered socially acceptable.” (dictionary.cambridge.org)

Taken to covenant, a stupid person is not meant in a derogatory sense of name calling, but in the sense where God likens the false preachers of the false gospel to a “brute beast” (2 Pet. 2:2). Knowing only his own nature, the troglodyte minister restricts faith from Jesus’ covenant and brings believers into a web of religious aspirations.

The teaching of the old vanguard kept the church in bondage by denying believers access to Christ. Ministers teach in a way that is offensive to God. On this point I’d like to share another word of knowledge the Lord ministered to me that will open this up some more, “smite the Shepherd and the sheep shall be scattered”.

Mark 14:27
And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

God is pointing to a double revelation in this. Just as ministry leaders have been offended at the preaching of the covenant of Christ and struck out against our Saviour, thus scattering His sheep from Him, God is now correcting ministry leaders and with words, striking against the false pillars of knowledge to shake believers loose from the grip of their false teachings so that they might have the opportunity to hear God’s grace that is calling them out of that system and into covenant with Him.
