Magazine columnists are not directing faith into the new covenant, but rather into the kingdom of the flesh.

Have You Aligned Your Faith to the New Covenant

When believers write to me and say that they have tried the principles provided by Christian magazine columnists and find that they don’t work, I ask them what specific advice they followed.

Typically, the advice and opinions offered is loaded with five basic promises that initially hook a believer:

  • God can give you victory over sin and the devil (addresses your inner struggles).

  • God can give the power of the Holy Spirit in your life (outward miracles).

  • God hears your prayers (personal life, corporate life, family life).

  • God can change you (job needs, relationship needs, diet and health needs, financial needs).

  •  God has a purpose for you (God’s dream for you, your signature potential).

These promises are connected to how-to principles that distorts both the meaning and the purpose of Christ. For example, believers are advised to align their faith to a way of prayer to get a revelation, and to go from there. Or they are advised to examine their dreams to find out which ones are from God, and to go from there.

It’s understandable that this half-hearted, scattered advice fails to connect faith to God. It’s interesting to note that when asked, believers say that they are not looking for the power of the Holy Spirit to perform outward miracles, they are simply looking for the inner miracle of divine transformation, the way to know God and serve Him in the manner in which He will direct their faith to make it living.

People want to know how the divine transformation works so that they  might experience God’s hand healing their soul. They recognize this to be the mark of Christ and nothing else will satisfy them.

Believers now understand that they need to be instructed in the doctrine of Christ from start to finish, for without instruction they are abandoned to the ill-advised columnists who are not walking in the fulness of Christ.

Align Your Faith to Jesus’ New Covenant

To walk in the fulness of Christ a believer will need to align their faith to the new covenant, which Jesus mediates. The one thing that columnists don’t understand is that God puts covenant first. The covenant terms, foundation knowledge, stewardship, tools, and priesthood come first. Jesus mediates the terms of the covenant to rule over your soul according to His mercy and power, which you experience every day.

  • Know this: Whatever you put first in your life is your goal and, therefore, what you will follow after.

When failing to put the covenant first, ministers do not see that they are putting themselves before Christ, setting their own goals for the Holy Ghost power, setting their own goals for faith, and getting in the way of God.

What do I mean by that? I mean that their faith is aligned to the flesh and that believers are thus being drawn onto the battlefield of the flesh to fight against the flesh. That’s why you’re losing the battle of the conscience and your peace is constantly being violated.

Never Surrender Your Faith to the Kingdom of the Flesh

The covenant gives you the terms to follow through on to know the Lord, to navigate around the mind field of the fleshly kingdom.

Magazine columnists are not directing faith into the new covenant, but rather into the kingdom of the flesh. How do we know that? They said so, “It’s possible there is something out of alignment in your life that’s blocking the power of God.”

As soon as you take a look at what might be out of alignment in your life, it’s game over for your faith. These two kingdoms (flesh and Spirit) are contrary to one another, and it will never be possible to please God by aligning your faith to the flesh (to set order to that kingdom).

Romans 8:4-9
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Let me assure you, once you are in covenant with God, you will no longer be asked to surrender your faith to the kingdom of the flesh. It will be game over for the devil, who’s robbing your heart of faith.

God never directs your faith back to the kingdom of the flesh (your life). God always directs your faith to the stewardship, tools, priesthood, and knowledge of the new covenant of Jesus Christ. This is where He displays His power, and His power will increase in you and through you every day as He heals your soul.

It sounds spiritual to ask God if there is anything out of alignment in your life because it borrows on your desire to see God’s will done in your life and on the earth. It sounds like you are ready to lay your life down for God. It sounds like you’re trying to align yourself to God. But what’s actually happening is that you’re using the kingdom of the flesh to test alignments – the broken compass.

All of God’s spiritual processes take place from a covenant perspective to manifest the life of Christ in you and through you.
