Do you know how to overcome fear? In this season of transformation where God is reconnecting believers to the knowledge and tools of the new covenant, there’s a wonderful liberty taking place. You’re learning the difference between the fear of man and the fear of God and seeing what happens to fear when you use the tools of His covenant to stand strong in faith.

Fear, like confusion, is not of God. Yet many believers battle against fear. Fear that their voice won’t be heard, fear that they won’t be understand, fear that they won’t be valued as they think they should. These voices express the very essence of our own light and this is why God distinguishes these voices by giving them names according to their function.

  • The VOICE of ASPIRATION: This is the drive of the soul to attain its own image and likeness so that others would reciprocate this value for our honor.

  • The VOICE of the PRINCIPLE: This is the drive of the soul to measure perfection by the law that reflects our own standards and prejudices.

  • The VOICE of the IMAGINATION: This is the drive of the soul to bring to life that which we have conceived, to project for our own peace and security.

You might recognize these three as the devil’s trio. These voices of the flesh cause fear in that when denied, they trigger the fear of lack and loss, which drives the soul deeper into regret, depression, and avoidance. Do you find yourself there? Have you listened to these influences from the kingdom of darkness? If so, it’s time to put faith to work to silence fear.

It is Essential to Learn the True Fear of the Lord

It is essential for you to learn to use God’s tools to learn to walk in the true fear of the Lord. This is godly fear because it works with the voice of God, teaching us to work with His grace to produce the fruits of godliness.

Let’s learn what fear is and how God wants us to view it. We’re going to quote from the glossary the Lord has provided for us through Apostle Eric vonAnderseck:

“There are two kinds of fear: (1) The fear of man, which brings a snare, and (2) the fear of God, which brings life. Heb.11:7: “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.”

The fear of man makes the soul fret for lose and tethers the soul to aspiration.
The fear of God is not the fear of His wrath, but rather fearing lest He withdraw His grace from us; for then we would wither and die as a plant removed from the light of the sun.

The Spirit of God works with the fear of God by covenant for faith to keep the soul tethered to God. The spirit of the world works with the fear of man to work a false faith by the wisdom of the world to tether the soul to need.

Proverbs 29:25
“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.”

Proverbs 2:5
“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.” [end quote] God’s power is released towards you every time you use the spiritual tools He sprinkled with the blood of Jesus to join you to His strength and joy. The power we’re talking about is the 9 operations of God that are present every day in His grace. To stand firm in faith means to access God’s power in His grace.

Romans 12:6
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith.”
