I received a vision during prayer that I’d like to share with you.

The Lord showed me the cross of Christ. It was set on a white background, and a brilliant white light shown through to illuminate it.

The question that accompanied the vision was, “What stands out to you in this picture?” What stood out to me was the cross. The cross was central to the picture. There was nothing else on the picture, but the cross, and the light of God shinning through.

So, in making the cross of Christ central to the gospel, what is God talking about, the wood itself or the new covenant? The cross represents the covenant, for the cross was not empty. The cross of Christ represents the blood of Jesus, which he shed to provide in himself a new covenant for our redemption. Even as Jesus said.

Mark 14:24
“And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.”

The light of God is the knowledge of the covenant that saves the soul. This speaks of the anointing (witness of the Spirit) that works with the knowledge of the covenant (record of Christ) to join us to God.

Only the new covenant terms, stewardship, tools, and priesthood can make the cross of Christ central to your faith. Here again emerges another contrast. As God disambiguates the cross of Christ, we can ask, is our faith founded in the cross or in the Bible?

This disambiguation is vital because Satan hides in the shadows of the grey area, whereas the moral code takes over to speak for God through the text of the Bible when the cross is not central to our faith. When believers read the Bible they might not be thinking about the new covenant at all.

Case in point:

I recently heard a well known preacher say that he got a new revelation about grace being the power of God. He brought out that 98% of all believers live a defeated life and he linked that to not properly understanding how to access the power of grace.

It’s true. 98% or more of all Christians live a defeated life, and it’s true that in this season of transition that God is reeducating the church. Going back to the vision, how do we know that the cross of Christ is not central to this minister’s message? He did not link the power of grace to the new covenant, but rather abandoned it to be taken captive by his moral code.

His message was about the struggles of the natural man. He was not speaking about the new covenant at all. So now the knowledge is severed from the Godhead, and thus made to speak of man’s issues to offer peace in his frustration, rather than offer fruit to God.

Equally disturbing is that the minister is claiming to just now receive a revelation that has been part of the transition for some time. God has been broadcasting the 9 operations (powers) that He designed into grace through His sanctified, apostolic stewardship for some time now.

We are in a season of restoration. God has restored the apostolic stewardship and oversight of the church, restored the foundation of truth, the new covenant terms, tools, and priesthood. God has refocused the believer’s faith on the new covenant for which Jesus shed His blood. Is the new covenant (cross of Christ) central to your faith?

Hebrews 10:29
“Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”
