In a recent article posted by Charisma Magazine, the Lord again rebukes ministers for introducing and promoting false prophetic ministry. There are a few things I want to point out from the article entitled “Prophetic Word: The Lord Is Draining the Swamp in the Prophetic” by Dr. Hakeem Collins.

There is no doubt that Collins is seeking a better understanding of prophecy, but that has already been done. The question remains, why has he continued to resist the transition?

In his article, Collins is missing God. God is not so much telling him that the false prophetic exists (which the church has known for some time), but telling him he is part of it and that he needs instruction to get out of it. He is not capable of correcting this problem himself.

The often made mistake is to follow a revelation. God will never ask you to do that. God asks you to follow the steward He has appointed to lead the church out of the false prophetic and back to the individual priesthood of each believer, where believers again learn to prophesy Jesus Christ.

In this article, God is exposing the deep roots of modern prophetic ministry to show the source of these polluted streams. These are the ministers who introduced Psycho-phecy to the church, whereas they encourage believers to give themselves over to a seducing spirit to speak the first thing that comes to their mind. What comes out of their mouths is this polluted stream about the way you feel, the challenges that you face, your inner struggles, your hopes and dreams.

Ask yourself, What is central to this type of prophecy? You are! The self is central to Swamp Prophecy. When you (your hopes and dreams and struggles and circumstances you want to break through) are central to prophecy – Christ is not!

I know that you want to overcome those things, and God wants that for you, too. But you’ll need a growth cycle to overcome yourself, the world, and the devil. Your priesthood comes with built-in growth cycles. You cannot prophesy your way into victory. You’ll have to go through the divine process God sanctified for you through the blood of Jesus. God is addressing these areas of neglect, and this is why He is rebuking ministers.

I have said many times that we are in the season whereas God is separating the Wheat believers from the Chaff believers. This is a good example of how God is accomplishing this. By exposing the roots of false prophetic ministry, God is exposing Chaff Prophecy to contrast that to Wheat Prophecy.

Chaff Prophets:

These are believers who prophesy about their hopes and dreams, their ups and downs and God’s hand in their inner struggles. These words are not born of the anointing and are blown by the wind of false doctrine. Those who prophesy the chaff honor themselves, and thus deny the Lord.

2 Peter 2:1
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”

Wheat Prophets:

These are believers who prophesy Jesus Christ. This is God’s true pattern for prophecy. As He is our foundation and token of rest, we testify of Him. Believers who have a priesthood have learned how to prophesy Christ to make distinction for Him, thus honoring God.

Revelation 19:10c
“for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Now that God has made you accountable to the apostolic steward whom He used to restore the priesthood prophecy, you must decide whether you want to be a Chaff prophet or a Wheat Prophet. You should know the names of the ministers such as Bill Hamon, Cindy Jacobs, Jennifer LeClair, Dutch Sheets and others who promote Swamp Prophecy and avoid them. Collins offers scripture to fix the problem, while ignoring what the polluted streams are and their source.

Romans 16:17
“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”
