Priesthood Restored

As God foretold, the paradigm shift brought many changes to the current Christian culture. True to His word, the newly restored Body of Christ has emerged. God restored apostolic governance, the foundation of truth, the covenant of Jesus Christ, and the priesthood of each believer.

This Article Series from Apostle Eric vonAnderseck will focus on combating the false priesthood of the false religious system. Ministers who champion the fleshly priesthood are challenged and called into account. You will learn how faith got complicated when the simplicity of your priesthood was lost.

First of all, let’s define the fleshly priesthood. What is that? There are many things that define a fleshly priesthood, but the most deadly is the false prophetic ministry by which believers are put into a hopeful spell that God is speaking into their life. God challenges these and other dead practices and psychological traps whereby prophecy is bound to the natural man to speak of his woes and dreams.

Satan’s acts of deception to marry psychology with prophecy (psycho-phecy) gave birth to the many faces of the Jezebelian prophets. You must know that the change in your priesthood is designed by God to break many false yokes.

A Return to the Priesthood is a Return to the True Power of God

If you feel as if the throne room of God has a “Do not Disturb” sign every time you knock on the door, if you are frustrated with your Christian growth and feel as if you are not able to reflect the nature of Christ as you would like, if you feel you are going in circles and not really advancing in your personal growth, then it is time to learn about the new covenant priesthood of Jesus Christ.

Faith got complicated when the simplicity of the Christian priesthood was lost. It is clear from the Bible that God designed the faith of individual believers around a priestly service to Him. From the scriptures we are to understand that believers are called priests, and that as priests, we are to offer to God spiritual sacrifices of praise to worship and glorify Him. Let’s read those verses in Apostle Peter’s first epistle.

1 Peter 2:5
“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”

1 Peter 2:9
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

A believer wants to know what the Bible says about spiritual warfare, what the Bible says about worship, what the Bible says about overcoming self, the world, and the devil, what the Bible says about prayer and reflection. In the mind of the unconverted believer these are separate things, but to the mind of God these are all the same expression of the priesthood.

  • Know this: If you departed from the covenant terms that God bound Himself to, to care for you and to oversee your faith, then you have departed from the priesthood whereby Jesus mediates the terms on your behalf to present you spotless before God and to preserve your soul in Him.

Although there are many voices teaching what it means to know God and how you can know His voice, the heart that is divided can only hear the voice of the natural man. Jeremiah’s prophecy is a call to this generation.

Jeremiah 24:7
“And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.”

Many times this verse is used to advocate repentance. Having been led to examine one’s heart in the absence of truth, one easily sees into the vastness of one’s own defiled conscience the contradiction that is lived out from day to day: while claiming to live for Jesus, darkness rules the heart.

When God commands a return to Him, you must know what repentance means in the mind of God. It is our agreement to accept Jesus’ new covenant and priesthood. Faith must be joined to the sanctified knowledge and tools of Jesus to return to Him with a heart that is cleansed.

A sanctified priesthood is so important to the Christian faith. The downside to being trapped in the false religious system as an unconverted believer is that you have nothing to offer to God because you cannot reciprocate the likeness of Christ with the dead letter.

Don’t let this happen to you. Now that God has restored the new covenant priesthood of Jesus Christ, you too can enter into this season of change and renewal.
