Balance is an illusion. As one contemplates his impossible position, it’s just a matter of time before the illusion fails to support his expectations.

“Balance” is a word made popular by ministers who want to be seen as the one who possesses sound logic. After all, they reasoned, if balance is the key to life, then certainly balance is the key to a healthy faith, right? Wrong.

As the picture suggests, balance is an illusion. As one contemplates his impossible position, it’s just a matter of time before the illusion fails to support his expectations.

Ministers have an incurable penchant for the word “balance” because it is reflective of the constant battle they fight, trying to negotiate their peace with the devil, rather than to live by the terms of God’s covenant.

In this new apostolic age, God has released believers from this woeful existence. When Christians come out of the wilderness and into covenant with God, their faith is restored, and they are no longer stuck in all these different camps, striving for a sound faith in the absence of apostolic stewardship.

As I often state, ministers who advise that this-or-that teaching needs to be balanced do not possess the whole counsel of God, and therefore, he’s commenting from the side-lines. God’s wisdom, knowledge, and understanding is packaged in grace and truth to direct faith into the activity God sanctified with the blood of Jesus.

I’m adding an excerpt from my new book “The Apostolic Calling & Anointing” in this article as the Holy Spirit has already addressed this so well.

“Failing to disambiguate the record of Christ, they [ministers] wound up using the default record the natural man gravitates to, trying to make the Spirit of God empower selected scriptures they can apply to their life.

“This misrepresentation of the Word of God is out of rhythm with the Spirit. How do we know this to be true? Again, you can hear it in the language spoken when ministers talk about the need for a “balanced” Christian life. The word “balance” has to do with something being out of rhythm, which then suggests a need to find out what is wrong by trying to balance all these different tangents.

“How many articles have you read in so-called Christian magazines counseling believers about how to find balance? For example, a balance is sought between quoting scripture and being led of the Spirit. One can see the merits of each, but cannot grasp how they work together, which speaks of the lack of experience God wants you to have with grace and truth. Grace carries the equity of the Spirit. Grace is always in balance with itself—it carries the equity of Christ. . . If you are fighting for it [balance], you don’t have it.

“God established Jesus Christ as your righteousness to settle this and all other arguments of the mind, but when Jesus is not established in truth as your righteousness, you will continue to lack the tokens of His power and try to force God’s confirming witness into some kind of structure where you prioritize your values.

“The word balance is a crutch word made popular by ministers whose faith struggled in the absence of the record and the witness. As always, the flesh tries to pick up the slack to create its own equity rather than submit to the equity God provides in the record of Jesus Christ. As the record of Christ is displaced by the record of man, the witness of the Spirit is absent; as the gifts of Christ’s propitiation are substituted with the gifts of our own signature, the soul is not receiving any eternal substance.”

In 1982 the Lord delivered a prophecy for me to give to the church. We are living in the days of its fulfillment. The prophecy is as follows:

The Lord is building up the waste places; that is, the neglected and overlooked offices in the Body of Christ, in order to properly structure His divine government.

By His Spirit He is placing the stones that are fitly cut to fit secure and casting off the self appointed stones into the pile of dishonor.

The Body of Christ will then proceed in their growth unto a mature man in Christ and not in the image and doctrine of man.

This will come about as the offices of the apostle and prophet are beginning to function as the Lord purposed in the early church.

Darkness will not perceive, and the disobedient will gainsay the pleasure of the Lord.

Many chief ones will see and be ashamed of their carnality. And those that lack discernment shall cry out in fear.

The delights of the Lord shall prevail and prosper and will not feed nor shall it court the desires of those chief ones that flatter themselves in their prosperity or pride themselves in their security.

The monuments of success shall be ashamed and the gray haired confounded at the wisdom of the Lord.

The wise hearted shall be as the unlearned and the popular of no value before the gold of the Most High.

Prestige of the high ones shall be weighed in the balance and shall be lighter than vanity, and the fruits of achievement as the dust before the wind and before the knowledge of the Lord and His anointed ones.

Understanding shall arise out of obscurity and enlightenment out of confusion. There shall be a unity that shall not be feigned and a oneness that will not be deceitful.
