The fake Christian leadership of the wilderness church masquerades as orators of God’s wisdom, yet the Lord is pushing back on their open acceptance and perpetuation of Satan’s deception.
What is the first thing Satan does when he deceives? He normalizes it.
Benny Hinn plays directly into Satan’s strategy. He lists spiritual deception as “enemy #1” in the last days, yet frames it as something expected, inevitable, even prophetic: “it’s always been here”, “Jesus said it would come”, “the church has always been under a heavy yoke of deception”.
And with that narrative, the church is given a pass. Spiritual deception becomes the accepted norm rather than walking with God in Jesus’ covenant.
God uncovers something long hidden: when ministry leaders normalize deception, they reveal their own hearts. They do not know what truth is. They have accepted Satan’s lie that says, “God’s truth cannot be known as one whole foundation of knowledge, so we shouldn’t expect to know it—and we don’t want to know it.”
Have You Surrendered to Satan’s Counterfeit Gospel?
Hinn repeats Jesus’ warning about deception, appearing to agree that spiritual deception is a threat in the last days, yet denies God’s defense against deception—Jesus’ covenant. The Apostle Paul warned of this counterfeit gospel, saying that if you surrender to it, you remove yourself from God, His kingdom, and His care.
Galatians 1:4
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Have you surrendered to “another gospel”—Satan’s counterfeit gospel?
God’s spiritual checkpoint is vital. The Lord’s correction is now upon the counterfeit system Satan handed to ministers born out of the Charismatic movement. Ministers whitewashed their acceptance of Satan’s counterfeit gospel by using one key word: “surrender”.
You’ve heard it many times and it’s the buzz word of the day: “God I’ll do what you want me to do. I surrender to you, Lord. Use me! Mold me! I place myself in your hands.”
Yet false ministers do not see that they already surrendered to Satan’s deception the moment they accepted the counterfeit gospel. That was the moment they fell under his spell and vowed to carry the legacy of his corrupt knowledge.
“I surrendered to you” is just another way of saying, “I assume that everything I preach is your will even though I reject Jesus’ covenant, the apostolic character and priesthood.”
Perhaps you also have been led into surrender prayers. You didn’t realize it was a trap instead of a door. Let’s look at what surrender truly means.
• Surrender to God’s way of thinking is to come into 100% agreement with Him that Jesus’ covenant knowledge is the only door to salvation.
On the other hand, Satan uses the word “surrender” to disarm the church as he leads ministers to accept his lie. The lie that Jesus’ covenant is unnecessary and should remain unknown. That is the deception Satan normalizes, and that is the deception false leadership perpetuates.
Leaving Jesus’ Covenant Unknown is Satan’s Primary Strategy
Satan’s strategy depends on keeping Jesus’ covenant unknown. When ministry leaders agreed to his lie, they participated in the concealment. Like many leaders, Hinn resigned himself to his own struggle with spiritual deception and surrendered to Satan’s lie.
By excusing deception, he leaves the door to Jesus’ covenant firmly shut. Exactly as Satan planned. And this is why the spiritual advice believers receive is so hollow. Instead of opening the door to Jesus’ covenant, leaders offer vague encouragements that bypass the covenant entirely. For example, saying, “Focus on finishing better than when you began.” This is exactly what Hinn urged.
God’s correction lands heavily upon ministry leaders: they never started a covenant relationship with Him through Jesus. Hinn never began it… so he cannot finish it. This is God’s challenge.
Where Hinn builds a “prophetic framework” for believers, saying that spiritual deception is prophecy in the last days being fulfilled, God’s real apostles build Jesus’ covenant framework for believers, showing them the way to serve God acceptably through Jesus Christ and to walk out of deception.
So, God notes the absence of Christ and the introduction of false knowledge to replace Him. And although Jesus prophesied this would happen, He did not leave the church defenceless.
How the Fallen Church Approaches Scripture
God unravels the deceptive pattern in Isaiah 28. He lays out clearly how Satan’s ministers approach His word and how that approach leads to their fall. And even though Jesus prophesied that the fallen church would accept Satan’s pattern, He was not opening that door for you.
Isaiah 28:13
But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
Isaiah 28 is not describing a method of trusted Bible study. The Lord is describing spiritual manipulation. Ministers who approach God’s word without Jesus’ covenant handle it without the anointing of truth and repurpose the scriptures to speak to the defiled state of their conscience. And that’s why they remain in Satan’s wilderness system.
The “precept upon precept… line upon line…” is not an outline for correct Bible reading. It is God marking how Satan’s ministers mishandle His word when they deny His apostolic stewardship.
Wilderness believers follow the same example, trying to safeguard themselves from spiritual deception by immersing themselves in the scriptures, independent from the instruction and oversight of God’s true apostolic stewardship. God never authorized the hands of man’s logic to handle scripture as a guideline for discernment. Even as Jesus said.
John 5:39
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Satan is well versed in scripture. He misdirects scripture to appeal to man’s aspirations, principles and imagination to deceive. Satan’s ministers misuse the scriptures in the same way, offering something that feels right, because it speaks to self, but is absent of God’s grace and truth (does not speak of a believer’s responsibility and purpose in Christ’s covenant).
Ministries formed in the wake of the Charismatic movement made their own scales for discernment and used Isaiah 28:13 as permission to reject Jesus’ covenant.
The Spirit speaks expressly: discernment is not gained by immersing oneself in the written word. The Pharisees were well immersed in the scriptures, yet they could not perceive Jesus as the living Word of God. Discernment from the mind of God is by the anointing of truth, through being joined to God’s apostolical character.
Acts 2:42
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
John 13:10-11
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you (apostles’ office) to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
The Second 8th Week is a time of cleansing for the church. But God’s cleansing is not in the debate of scripture, it is in the acceptance of Jesus’ covenant. The knowledge of God’s truth, as stewarded through His true apostolical character, is Jesus Christ, the living word of God.
This holy knowledge is a mystery, concealed from the logic of man. The key to unlock the mystery of Christ, concealed within the written word, is in the hand of God’s anointed stewardship.
Apostles Restore the Lost Foundation
In this next piece, I want to share a bit from Apostle Eric vonAnderseck’s soon-to-be-released book: “Apostles Restore the Lost Foundation”, where the Lord corrects and reverses Satan’s counterfeit gospel:
“We understand what God is correcting: people say yes to Jesus and are handed a gospel with no engine. No working parts. No foundation. Just fragments and hope.
The modern Christian experience is shaped by collecting many partial truths and mixed truths that resonate. These truths are kept “just in case”—as if someday you will find a use for them. As Satan’s false gospel is preached, many spiritual ideas seem to hold value and seem worthwhile to explore and keep in your back pocket just in case you need to fit a revelation to a need.
- That’s how the false gospel spreads: by selling ideas that appear spiritual, sound helpful, and promise healing, but never build.
Like a junkyard filled with broken, forgotten, useless, worn-out household items and car parts, signs, and memorabilia that only hold nostalgic meaning. We get an idea of what God is addressing.
It is Jesus’ real apostles who begin to teach and instruct why you can’t hold onto these bits and pieces of truths and revelations, thinking that someday they will be useful to fit a need and fall into a larger picture. God’s restored government is teaching why partial truths revelations are not useful – why they don’t work – why they should be discarded.
God entrusted the lineage of truth to His real apostles—living stewards of His grace. The truth we build in your heart is authored by Jesus and carries His sanctification. It’s not a spiritual buffet where we pick what resonates. It’s a living foundation set in order by God and sealed by the Spirit. And when we walk it out in our priesthood, the fruit confirms the root.
But if you grew up spiritually in the Charismatic and Evangelical circles, you were handed another experience. You find that your foundation was half-built and your faith became unresponsive—and that means your fruit-bearing in God’s kingdom never truly began. Is it any wonder, then, that believers are told their crisis is a sign they need deliverance and more spiritual warfare tactics?
- God uses the apostolic character to remove the gremlins and their faulty teachings from the church.
Just as Hymenaeus and Alexander used their own record for truth and began to express their displeasure of the apostles who would correct their perceptions, ministers today do the same thing. They want to be given a free pass to continue to take advantage of the ignorance and blindness Satan put upon the body of Christ through their teachings. (1 Tim. 1:20)
Phygellus and Hermogenes are two more examples of ministers who struck out on their own. They threw away Jesus’ foundation in order to build their own concepts of faith, and the Apostle Paul also addressed their misconceptions. (2 Tim. 1:15)
- Deliverance ministry, books on deliverance, tips on spiritual warfare are examples of gremlin teachings.
These ministers do not believe in God’s one foundation of truth that contains all the fullness of Christ for the divine transformation to daily take place in your heart.
Is this the reason why fake ministers put God’s power in the text of scripture in place of Jesus? Saying for example: “God’s Word is more than just written text—it is a Rhema word, a powerful tool to speak into your life, family, health and situations.”
The Spirit speaks expressly: once you have untethered the scriptures from God’s covenant (as Satan did) to make them to speak to your life, your family, your health and your situations, you have tethered the scripture to the kingdom of the flesh to speak to SELF to create a self-referencing gospel. It is Satan’s counterfeit gospel.
The Weapons of our Warfare or Weaponising Scripture.
We have learned that IN Christ means IN covenant because that’s how God defines our life–IN Christ–according to His covenant. We also join God in the same mind. We understand how the elements of the gospel work in tandem with His spiritual tools and how His tools work within our new priesthood. These spiritual tools are designed to carry God’s divine power to create in us His nature as we build with Him.
God defined the elements of the gospel according to His working in us to bring our thoughts into subjection to Him. Yet God doesn’t work in us without His tools. So the Apostle Paul placed Jesus’ spiritual tools in the hands of believers and identified them as the “weapons of our warfare”. These are acting powers of God’s throne that work with (in submission to) the anointing and not the record of man. (2 Cor. 10:4)
- Satan built another system through his fake ministers to remove Jesus’ covenant and His tools.
The devil’s plan is to weaponize scripture to create a warfare mindset that puts your aspiration, principle, and imagination into action. Going to the scripture to regulate their lives, ministers were unaware of the ruling powers Satan placed in the flesh to direct their affections.
We can see why God does not want you to learn spiritual warfare according to that sinful practice. They thought they were using scripture to rule over the devil, but Satan invented a system that brought them into submission to his wiles.
The choice God lays before ministry heads and leaders is this: “Will you choose an imaginary victory, or will you choose My true regeneration?” Jesus provides everything for us in His covenant and unveils how the anointing transforms this into the reality for our daily service to Him.”
